There's an "Official" thread that is really quite active. Check it out.
It's a good exchange, I use it. The volume is still way below any of the other big exchanges, but it's getting there (volume today is double what it was a couple weeks ago; volume then was double what it was just a week before that). The influx of new users has really slowed down the verification process. Also, it is (for the most part) not open to American customers.

What I found is a scam warning but checking out the site , it doesn't look like a scam. It actually looks like a very nice platform for trading Bitcoins and litecoins.
I am going to give it a try.

Hi
I too use Kraken, I have not had any problems yet touch wood and it is quite a nice front end to the platform.

Kraken works well enough, but volume is low. Most of the volume seems to be in the BTC/EUR pair, BTC/USD is quite a bit smaller.
Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals work fine, though Kraken still requires 6 confirmations to deposit, which makes it a bit slower than, say, Bitstamp which requires just 3.
Euro withdrawals via SEPA work great. Fee is only 9 cents and so far I've always had my money in my bank account the next working day. I've made several >1K withdrawals so far. I have not tried depositing fiat yet.

Kraken is no scam, but our user base has grown by 4x in less than 3 weeks and it's totally overwhelmed our staff. Wait times for support and verification are very long right now. We've hired more staff to cope with the load, but they had to be trained, which slows us down even more. The present situation isn't acceptable, but we can't fix it immediately. We're doing everything we can, but even so it will be a few weeks yet before we get back on our feet. Please see our main thread for the most active discussion. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=290799.0

No, mate. It is not a hurricane or tsunami, you could easily stop registering new users until you resolve your staffing problems.
