Probably all three coins would be a good investment AFTER current bubble explodes

I wouldnt Invest long term in anything but BTC and LTC, but in the really long term Im not so sure about those as newer coins offer other kinds of value that the old ones dont. In ten years a coin with faster transactions or other noveltys might very well have taken over the leading position as fas as Im concerned, but for the time being my bets are with bitcoin. :-)

The lesser known altcoins can spike much harder than either btc, ltc or ppc, but are riskier.

What coin that is very cheap right now $0.007 or less you guys think will explode in price in the coming months?

Really would recommend WDC mate......

http://coinmarketcap.com/ - over $20,000,000 invested (plenty of room for more ;P)

http://www.reddit.com/r/worldcoin/comments/1sh8d9/wdc_btc_20_imo/ - follow the links on that Smiley

https://www.facebook.com/worldcoinfoundation?fref=ts

Why are people so into WDC? I've tried to find some solid information on it but maybe I'm not looking hard enough....

Is there really enough difference from other coins that means it'll stay around long term?

I'm trying to get up to speed with a lot of the alt coins for some good short term investing similar to OP with a few thousand to spend.

Cheers Smiley

Check out this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0

A lot of the reason people like Worldcoin ( WDC ) is because it's a lot faster than most of the currencies so that means less waiting around for the transaction to confirm, there's quite a lot of dev support going behind it and then there's Scharmbeck which is a WDC/USD exchange that is currently being set up that is supposed to have all the legal paperwork sorted. If it releases on schedule without too many major problems then this will also be another explanation for it's popularity.

I don't mind the other coins but I haven't seen such active support for Worldcoin whereas normally the devs just hang back and make money either way. If it even implements half of the features that the devs want Anoncoin looks very good as well to me, there are others too but I haven't seen them do anything hugely unique yet.

Edit: Sweet fucking Jesus, why does everything have to happen when I need to go somewhere? Sad Worldcoin looks completely ready to breakout now in price.

Much better if you'd just invest in one coin... When BTC crash, all coins crash.. It might be hard to sell it immediatelly if your funds are scattered... LOL!

Doge coin was made only 3 days ago and is already more popular than most altcoins so that is the best choice

As soon as an exchange starts excepting it it will go wild

DogeCoin hit almost $4 million in market capitalization in just four days.  If they had set it to stop mining at 10 million DOGE's, it would probably be on its way to Litecoin territory already.

Brilliant marketing campaign.

I would like to work on development of a polymorphic altcoin that maintains a stable value and is more resistant to fraud.

Why not invest $500 in Bitcoins and the remaining 500 in litecoins.
While Bitcoin is worth more, you would be able to get more litecoins for the dollar value.
Perhaps lLitecoin will skyrocket as Bitcoin did and you might find yourself better off !

One of my many regrets is not holding onto my litecoins when I purchased a wad of them in early 2012 when the price was next to nothing.

I think this is the best advice. But, it appears that we are in a bubble right now. You should wait for prices to drop before investing.

I would refrain myself from investing now as other mentioned it looks like we're in bubble. Safest investment would be BTC since its the staple of all coins. If cryptocurrency rise, BTC is bound to rise as well; may BTC fall, all other will fall as well. From altcoins Peercoin and Devcoin looks interesting and of course dogecoin much coin wow money so crypto.
