To anyone who can provide a logical explanation of how this is possible:

I really don't understand your question.
The other person was out-spinning you ?
Does that mean they were spinning faster than expected ?

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

I've noticed that their lottery have a one user that always buys 1,000 tickets outright, even if he's the only player. That is irrational as that would mean negative profits even if he wins them all, due to house edge.

I suspect that it's actually a 'house bet' and that they are circumvening provably fair with these scummy bets.

Just posted the same on the main thread.

Probably a bot used by the owner of the site to make it look like ppl play. That would also explain why there is no or very little time between 2 spins.
Another possibilty is a bot written by a hacker who found a vulnerability on the site.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

Hacker wouldn't put 1000 tickets on the lottery, as house takes 20% of all tickets. With not enough players playing, he would never generate any profits.

So if you look at the time of the plays, you;ll see that one player is spinning several times a second. That's what I'd like to know how is that possible.

I imagine it would be a bot but even so, is it possible for a bot to spin several times a second? That's the question.. is that possible?

Sure it is. Dont think of the bot like a programm that "clicks" but rather of a line of commands that dont have to wait for the visual feedback to do another action. Especially if it runs on their server there is no need for it to wait for the results as the purpose of the bot would not to win anything but just to generate spins.

Interesting... never thought of it in that light - like I said, I'm no techie. So does that means the bot would have to belong to them, since it's running on their server? So what would be the reason behind so many per second, though? Would it take the win over someone else playing?

the only realistic way this would be possible is a bot on a low ping server. or
B its part of the game.

I have no idea why they or someone would use the bot as it was already pointed out that using a bot like this will not result in any profit. So if you cant win anything with the bot you either dont have to pay for playing or the bot is not supposed to win, in both cases it smells like they are generating action to attract players.
The hacker seems to be out of the picture as he would want to maximize profit befor getting cought and thus play when there a plenty players around. Also if someone found a weak point, a attack from several accounts or addresses would be less likely detected.

I suppose I'm looking for an impossible answer.

Several of you gave your thoughts. Who do I owe?

Split it between the people you think deserve it.

A few of you gave me additional insight and validated my suspicion that Betcoin.tm is a sham.
