Simply speaking, what do you use bitcoin for?

To be honest I am attracted to bitcoin due to its raise of exchange rate in these months, but besides the exchange rate what else can I expected from bitcoin? Increasing real life usage? Easier fiat currency exchange? Stable exhange rate? Or what is the asset or value behind the bitcoins? Or is this just a bubble where everyone carries a virtual gold with no physical backup?

Make a Bitcoin then you will know it's value.

I use Bitcoin as a backup for fiat and for micro payments like ordering pizza online www.takeaway.com

but the exchange rate fluctuates a lot and the difficulty to buy some wouldn't it unsafe to make it as an investment (or saving u say)? or even use it to buy things (looking at the market place the price are still in Sep rate) (3,4 coins? crazily high nowadays, i wouldnt pre-order things with coin value changes like that)
at least in here no one accept bitcoin for service/goods, and we don't know if bitcoin will be banned (i know this is extreme case but China already banning right?)

i know i am a newbie, so i don't understand the economy about mining, a lot of miners working to get coins, but again, where the coins comes from? what is the value behind?

Certainly looks like it.

As for me, I am currently trading, but have also tried gambling and betting with less success.

Well depending on your bussiness you might get customers just BECAUSE you accept bitcoins. Several stores in Berlin had great free Promo (including international press coverage) just because they accepted Bitcoin.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I'm currently using it as an investment too for the future.  I think BTC will have a long life and it would be good to get in now early and hope the value appreciates a lot in the future.

Bitcoin is a great attraction for teen gamers, online gamblers, and drug addicts.
If you fit into one of the three, you'll love it.

Many people and stores accept bitcoin online.  If there's something you want, you can also post a WTB thread in the marketplace.

Good Luck!
