I wonder what the UK banks are going to do about this. They are very hostile to any business dealing bitcoins.

The banks can go suck a floppy. Their only option will be to embrace cryptos, or in the long run they'll lose out. It'll be the whole Music Industry vs MP3s and The War on Drugs all over again. We don't need banks any more; they need us.

its just like money gram. or paypoint.
if any of you have had an electric key/gas card that you top up. its like that. you do it at a paypoint.
but instead of an electric key, you first of all go on zipzap website and order the amount you want, you get given a payment slip to print out, and you go to your local convenience store that does the service.
hand them over the slip, and the convenience store takes your money.
zipzap is not special, anyone can set up a paypoint account and receive funds from other people. electric companies do it, gas companies, mobile phone companies. theres nothing new technology wise...
.. just think of it as the UK version of what bitinstant offered in 2012. a service that is accessable from most convenience stores

Well that lasted long. Can't imagine they were making much sales, but you may as well just go straight through Bittylicious if you wanted to buy coins as you need to use them anyway.

I've no idea why they chickened out. It's just another thing to buy.
Assuming it comes back soon I think they'll have to do a little thinking about the right strategies to make it worthwhile for buyers.

Maybe they had some legal pressure, or maybe they figured it wasn't worth the risk of using it. I can't image they made much sales through it.
