Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Dear DOGE Community;

It brings me great joy to inform you that EMC2, with the help of the DOGE Community, has successfully reached our crowdfunding
goal for the Havekes project -- you helped fund science success, [[THANK YOU!! ]]

From the looks of things by the end of the campaign (Jan/31) it will have exceeded the goal.  I conveyed the news to
Dr. Havekes who was sincerely appreciative of all of the work that went into the effort and particularly the abundant
sponsorships that pulled the campaign though.

Thanks again for your participation.

Altcoins plunged a bit when Bitcoin went up.

Does remind me of 2013 when at first Bitcoin went up and all the other alts went down... but shortly after that went up sky high because of the influx of new people...

I have 1,50,000 Doges right now and I want to buy and hold 2,00,000 doges..!!

That's a strange way to put commas in number. Out of curiosity, is that a common way to do it where you come from?

Commas is the correct way....using . is stupid as can be confused with decimal places. British common sense triumphs all.

Interesting cooperation!
even more well-known.

Wow very good news crypto is going to integrate with popular apps. It will help bring more and more new people to know about Doge.  Smiley

You know, at the last time i don't see many news about dogecoin. Just want to tell, that advertising must be in a popular newsmakers, but now it only appear at the "professional" sources. So, it is not take affect to grow popularity of Doge.

Yes, we agree. This will definitely help Dogecoin grow in popularity.

Good news, 3D printing webstore www.ISG3D.com will be accepting DOGE Dogecoin through Shapeshift.io!

The team is currently moving the site to Shopify, we will be able to pay in DOGE Dogecoin in a few days!

Very 3D, Many Printing!

Hey guys, very glad to announce that we have officially move at Shopify www.ISG3D.com and DOGE Dogecoin is one of the only cryptocurrency with Litecoin and Feathercoin that has enough liquidity to buy the ISG11 3D Printer.

This is awesome. Have you thought about selling custom 3d files as well instead of just the printed items/printers?

Since searching still seems to be disabled, I don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but the download links in the OP need to be updated. Not only are they labeled 1.7, the links don't work.

Anyone looking for the latest release clients can find them here, though:

The comparison is very misleading, a more accurate comparison here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=758004.msg10297685#msg10297685

p.s: the more bitcoin related apps the better and we wish sendchat gl. Small suggestion, focus on what features you have and makes you unique.

Everyone knows that annual inflation in 5 billion was added to keep the miners and our network was strong, but it didn't work. The next step was the merger of mining Litecoin and that's great, now we are confident in the safety and strength of our network. I think that now would be reasonable to refuse a permanent inflation 5 billion coins or make it less, for example 1.2 billion(100 million per month). This measure will make our Dogecoin more attractive!

Agree. I would be in favour of reducing the final block reward by half by introducing another halving. It shouldn't do much damage to the hashing power and could have some positive effect on the price.

You could drop the block reward to 0 and let it spin on fees... Roll Eyes

Litecoin miners pay $0 per year more in electricity mining DOGE either way.  Any profit is better than no profit esp with LTC the price it is.

I've been saying this for a year now and I honestly think it would be best for DOGE in the short, medium and long term.

DOGE strength is in its users. The large mining pools should keep mining DOGE because the users will:

A:  Mine LTC.
B:  Tell their friends where to support DOGE.
C:  $0 a year anyways... Fucking mine that shit!

Anyone who is trying to talk DOGE into a block reward is either:

A:  A marketing person trying to run the show.
B:  A Litecoin person trying to take more than they are worth.
C:  Someone who is full of shit.

I really really hope DOGE drops it to 0.  I'd love to fire up the ole Doge wallet.

Dogecoin doesn't seem so "fun" anymore. It seems like everything has gone from being a fun project to a business with no heart. It makes me sad.

It seems like everything started going downhill when they introduced the constant 10k block reward.

What is the block reward right now?
