estimated DOGE inflation or total supply over the next 10 years?

the information is needed for http://alt19.com/19/cryptocurrency.php

thanks

5.25 billion new coins per year for eva atm.

They should have kept max coins at 100 billion imo. Too much inflation is hurting the price.

Preaching to the choir.

I truly wouldn't be surprised if there was a under the table deal done between Jackson and Charlie Lee in regards to the merge mining set up. (I have no proof, but I was the first to tell Jackson about merge mining... 0 interest... meets Charlie Lee and tada... then puts distance between himself and the project.)

This coin will just fall to 1 satoshi at this point, imo no more use for doge with the unlimited supply it has just turned into a mine and dump.

Yes, finally, after months of development and beating on it with hammers, Dogecoin Core 1.10 is out now: https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releases/tag/v1.10.0

BACK UP YOUR WALLET BEFORE YOU UPGRADE. We've had zero problems with upgrades so far, but still, just to be safe.

You will have to reindex on first run of Dogecoin Core 1.10, which will take 2-3 hours. I suggest running it overnight. If you use the QT (graphical) client, it will prompt you. If you run the daemon, use the "-reindex" option when you launch to start the reindex process. Again, this only has to be done once while the index format is updated to add more sanity checks. Your wallet balance will reflect the blocks that have been reindexed, while the process runs, don't panic. Do not attempt to send coins while the reindex runs, however, or you may find you've sent invalid transactions.

This is a major update and a critical security update. If you use Dogecoin Core, you MUST update to 1.10 to remain secure. If you for whatever reason absolutely cannot update (i.e. cannot take a service down to reindex) you can use Dogecoin Core 1.8.3, which contains the most critical fixes: https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releases/tag/v1.8.3 . Even then, we highly recommend updating later if at all possible.

This release includes all of the changes in Bitcoin Core 0.9 and 0.10, including a huge speed boost to download/sync, a broad range of security fixes, and the framework for future improvements such as blockchain trimming and smart contracts (yes, you read that right, smart contracts).

If you're an individual user please update NOW. If you're a merchant, exchange, payment processor or service provider, please test and update as soon as possible. If you're a miner, please update after the 17th so we have time for the new client to be deployed. This update introduces version 3 blocks (BIP 66 for those who know what that is), which are part of the security fixes, and the more clients update before they're mined, the easier the rollout will be.

To re-iterate - seriously, you need to update. This client has been in testing for literal months, it's stable, there isn't another update just around the corner, get this one.

Hi DogeCoin Members,  i had a few questions about specs.

1.  Confirm received?
2.  Confirm rewards?
3.  Minimum coin age till mature?
4.  Average reward?

1. Do you mean number of confirmations? Up to the receiving user, but I'd recommend 10+ for high-value transactions. Block time is far faster than Bitcoin, and wall clock time is an important part of the confirmation process.

2. 10kDOGE/block

3. 240 I think, off the top of my head

4. It's fixed per-block now

Not sure that answers your questions?

I sort of want to say "Well we weren't really taking direction from Jackson at that point" but that doesn't necessarily mean nothing happened (apologies for double negative there). FWIW I was backing merged mining in internal discussions for most of last year (coins remaining in conflict for mining power tend to end badly).

With respect to mining schedule (and I wasn't on the dev team when the decision to stick with the code as-is was made), it's very difficult to see Dogecoin having survived it's end of mining from December last year, with zero block rewards, either.

Jackson absolutely had Billy under his thumb at that point without a doubt.

I was for merge mining as well with a 0 block reward or something VERY small because the miners would mine DOGE for the publicity alone.

It doesn't cost them anything additional to merge mine DOGE.

I was the first to bring up merge mining to Jackson privately through Facebook... he gave close to no shits and I always got the vibe from him that he purposely wanted DOGE to fail to prove some strange point about cryptos being a pump n dump.  (not trolling, but this is truly how I feel)

I'm absolutely sure if DOGE maintains course as is it will soon only trade DOGE/LTC.  (again not trolling or fudding ect ect... check my post history in DOGE if you so wish)

Dear User,

MAKE ATTENTION!

Cex.Io, after change the rules for exchange (at least you can exchange coins for 0,01 btc so far) ?
Now change the way to withdraw Dogecoin and put a new limit!
(A VERY HIGH LIMIT!)
1.000.000 Dogecoin for make a withdraw = 0,66 btc (actually + or -)

Personally, I absolute dislike these rule's changes, that don't help to spread the use of btc to user, and don't help the "little user" to make some practice in exchange or in manage some coins.

Actually there are not more then 8500 dogecoin users, that can withdraw 1.000.000 dogecoin from this exchange.
We are so far, 6.000.000.000 of human in this planet, I think they have hard rules for be a member in their site, they don't like all human beings (lol).

I hope they didn't change again, because if they do the same trick with BTC they can reduce the number of user that can withdraw the funds , for the (hypothetic) 75% (people that own more than 0,66) !

Please MAKE ATTENTION when you have funds here on CEX.IO

I hope they can change these limits, to a normal value.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION

exactly ive lost more than 0.5 btc to have more experience in exchange but the minimum is high and there is no proper support and guidance

Billy dive-rolled out of the project before we actually went for merged-mining in the end, Max/Langerhans was leading by then. Again, could well be Jackson was directing, though, to be honest I was mostly tied up with other stuff at the time, made my argument and mostly got on with coding.

Not a clue about Jackson - I know Billy really never expected to end up running a currency people used, I think Jackson sort of wants to, sort of doesn't want to. We're as independent from him as we can be, at this point, although he still owns the domain name, which complicates matters.

Why would DOGE/LTC become a major thing? Do you mean we'll end up primarily exchanged as people shuffle mining rewards for the coins they actually want?

why not simply low the reward to 10 doges block or something similar?

$0.00126 per block? We need to motivate the miners to care enough to bother both with storing the blockchain and actually applying updates (this is a particular point right now as we've just released the BIP 66 security fixes which introduce an updated block version). That would work out at... ~$662 per year split between all of the miners.

For comparison, Bitcoin currently pays $8,000 per block (or thereabouts), even adjusting for the block time, that's $800/minute. We currently pay out $1.26/minute. If the two coins had comparable market caps, we'd still be paying out about half what Bitcoin does right now.
