I bought all my DOGE when the price was below 30 sat, a lot < 20 - so from my position, no - question is if the price will drop again

What are we talking about? Financiers do predict that Bitcoin may be worth by year-end 5000$-6000$ it really read more news and watch out for crypto currencies. What gives Dogecoin in this case may cost$ 1 at least. By 2030, Bitcoin can cost$ 100,000 and it is real,and Dogecoin$ 20 and it is real. A lot of people here who wish people did not take the coin,but we will buy it and that's the point.

Every cryptocurrency will rise doge will also become more valuable than these current price. Bitcoin becoming mainstreams hot topic and much usable means all altcoins collectively will get attention. Doge has large community and also acceptance and usage for many things. Supply will be irrelevant at some stage in future which is seeming hurdle in doge's wave to gain more value.

Let's not forget: it's a free and wild market, so the price can vary a lot, including plummeting more than we would like. We who are here from the beginning know that this has already happened and can happen again.
I hope that the problem with the dogetipbot is resolved as quickly as possible.

Yes, I'm more inclined to think the same.
Let's not forget: it's a free and wild market, so the price can vary a lot, including plummeting more than we would like. We who are here from the beginning know that this has already happened and can happen again.
I hope that the problem with the dogetipbot is resolved as quickly as possible.

Dogecoin's useful for making small withdrawals during the worst plummets. That gives it value and helps keep it alive during the bear markets that kill other altcoins.

Good to hear, I was checking the github earlier but I didn't see too many recent commits, that's why I asked, but hopefully we get something new soon.
Don't they want to change algo maybe? Maybe It could bring back some ppl.

It seemed to get changed right at the time the price tanked and did not recover because everyone knows endless emission is an investors nightmare scenario. I have no idea how the community rubber stamped it.

The dev left and put it to self destruct mode.

How difficult would it be to fork it and change a couple of numbers around. Most copy and paste devs could do it in 10mins.

it s not a big thing , very easy. the guy managing the tip bot left with all the money(120.000 € value todays market). not surprising if he had the private keys. a currency with 120 million euros market cap doesnt disappear for a thing like this. if you have the private keys it's not even hacking

I don't think endless emission if a problem as the algo only allows for a 3-4% growth per year - so long as there is enough interest in the coin there wont be so much of a problem, in the much longer term - it may turn out to be better as more people will be mining the coin long after BTC is working of tx fees only

DOGE is doing great as of writing this post (May 7, 2017). I am a crypto enthusiast as most of you here and mainly did invest in BTC / LTC and later ETH. I had invested few dollars in DOGE but now it seems to have increased in value. Similarly also I have those old coins Peer/Terra/Feather as well but DOGE has surpassed all expectations. It is really good to see that a coin is holding its position and is not dead yet because of a strong community. I am really glad to be part of it. The other giant cryptos are continuously improving the coins; I wonder if DOGE could do the same. Someone technical should take a lead and try to implement some advance feature like others do.
Now I am a believer of this coin and gonna follow its progress. DOGE is currently all time high at 0.00134116$ / USD (as of May 7th 2017 10:45 AM EST) on Poloniex.

Prediction:
Considering the current growth (including speculations); I predict that DOGE may come close to 0.5$ by March 2018. Being practical overall I think DOGE has potential to hit a mark of 3$ to 5$ in coming future though it may take some time or may be soon even; who knows...

What do you guys think?
