Hello everybody,

Why the DOGE wallet freezes when I try to encrypt it?
Thanks

Same problem here !

Help Please

Known issue: https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/issues/9
Right click on the QT file-->Properties-->Compatibility-->Windows XP
Quote
Since this was compiled probably for 32 bit, 64 bit could make it crash.  Running in compatibility mode may fix this for now.

Thanks for advise. If i try compatibility mode ( ofr my OS Windows 7 ) it does not start up. It´s only minimized in the tray, unable to open it.
Hitting self in head Tongue  Try Vista SP2  I have Win 7 and it opens like that.  I don't encrypt so you'll have to try it.

Hi,
just a few questions as newbie for solo mining... please tell if it's correct what i'm doing:

1) put a file called dogecoin.conf in the %appdata%\roaming\dogecoin folder   (is it correct the filename?)

2) the file must contain the following:

rpcuser=doge
rpcpassword=wow
addnode=67.205.20.10
addnode=162.243.113.110
rpcport=22555
server=1
daemon=1

is that sufficient or do i've to add ' addnode=127.0.0.1 ' ?

3) launch the wallet from cmd with the -server parameter: dogecoin-qt.exe -server

4) let it synchronize

5) launch cgminer as follow:  cgminer.exe --scrypt -u doge -p wow -o 127.0.0.1:22555 --gpu-platform 0 -d 0 -w 256 -v 1 -I 18 -g 1 -l 1 -T  --thread-concurrency 6144

edit: forgot, is it important where cgminer.exe is located or can it be launched wherever since is it point to 127.0.0.1?

Is everything correct??

Thanks

Add rpcallowip as shown above.  FYI, solo mining is near dead.  Better off getting in a pool.  fast-pool.com is good or if you have a decent GPU, http:fast-pool.com:9555-->p2pool.  Gives about 20%-30% more return for your hash power.

Sorry for the previous error.  It's rpcallowip

I asked myself the same this morning....why does the autopayout increases if it`s getting harder and harder to mine those coins, it should decrease...yesterday it was 10k, when i started on this pool it was 1k.....20k is much for a lot of people and not easily mined in a few hours.

So please reduce the autopayout or get your frontend stable (half the day it`s 404), otherwise i`ll have to look for another pool.

Auto-payout is reduced to decrease the load on server. When the pool had 300 miners 5 days back, the auto-payout was 1 DOGE.

Thanks, sincerely I haven't ever mined solo, i was just curious to see how it worked and never tried...

and probably you'd be happy to know I was already mining on fast-pool p2p Smiley

Seeing all these posts talking about the minimum auto-payout, I decided to go back and look and see what we had it set to over at
www.gooddoge.com
I'm sad to say that it was set to 10000 DOGE!

Well, I've fixed that up, and our minimum auto-payout is now set to 1000 Smiley

So come on over and join us and help us find our first block.  Over 20MH/s now and growing all the time.
