doge puzzles me a lot.weak future has pushed doge and lite to integrate into one huge community and currently dogeparty has launched with less supports from investors .hardly do i know why doge has gone rocket except for being pushed by chinese money.
Because despite all its shortcomings, people actually use it. That and pumps.

Yep.  Take 100 other coins from the ANN section.  Add up all the people actually using those coins.

It's still less than the number of people using Dogecoin.

Please let me know 10 coins that are actually being used for anything else besides trading.

And if you can find more than 4 i'll be amazed. At 10 I'll probably have a heart attack.

That sounds like the biggest change I was also away for a while but as a merge mined coin it probably has some uses.
Other than that not much else of note I think

POW sux, more DOGE/LTC/other coin = lower price compared to now. Doge should cap at 100kkk and go POS. POS inflation should be like 0,1-0,2% per year or less if possible

Nice buy support (buying 100 mil doge would move price 20% up, selling 100mil moves only 6% down)

did you notice that  http://www.btc38.com/trade.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=doge is few seconds or minutes in front of cryptsy ?
When there is pump or dump, mostly first appears on btc38.
just take a look a the 150m dump on btc38 right now and wait for it on cryptsy.
There Chinese guys move real quantity of coins...not like us US or EU people...

WOW!

I have to admit that one was a bit surprising to me
Although I wonder what the other two were about
Garden of Children hmm guess I'll look them up as well.

So, yeah. We won the UNESCO competition and now need to raise the target $5000 for that. Anyone interested in helping out can go here:

http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/2gs3cl/microlending_with_dogecoin_what_happens_next/

As for getting in touch with the big names in microfinance, sounds like we'll be getting a lot of help from UNESCO people. Ideally we can get the ball rolling before the big presentation at the Entrepreneurship Summit in Berlin.

Today BTC/DOGE pair was added at https://cryptonit.net exchange!

We enable trading today however DOGE deposits/withdrawals will be available from 24th of September 14:00 CEST
Thus everyone can get ready Wink

Speaking about new altcoins, we have got our own Manifest to consider before to add some new coin to trade.
We beleive that DOGE is worth trading at Cryptonit because it is completely open source, was not premined, has strong enough hashing algorithm, DOGE developers have never offered us money for integration.
Our full manifest can be found here https://cryptonit.net/documentation/manifest

Looking on the 150% gains in 30 days I was amazed that some other alts went up the same time.
Yet bitcoin is going down right now , so prepare for a down-slide on all fronts if things go bad in bitcoin land.

But , I won't sell even one dogetoshi.

Great! But bear in mind that we DONT help the Dogeconomy if we raise millions of Dogecoins for projects that require to convert all those coins to fiat money. Look @ the Dogecoin chart during our "big" fund-raising campaigns.

Me and my big mouth

Well, the few most popular and important alts (Doge is one of them) don't seem to go down with Bitcoin. That is, they do, but only in fiat terms, tracking Bitcoin decline. It means they are slowly detaching from Bitcoin, people who invest in them don't immediately run to Bitcoin as a safe haven, which used to be the case a few months ago. I think this detachment will be revealing itself more and more over the coming weeks and months. And because market caps of these alts are small compared to Bitcoin, it will not take a lot of capital to keep them from going down, as priced in satoshi.

Yet bitcoin is going down right now , so prepare for a down-slide on all fronts if things go bad in bitcoin land.

But , I won't sell even one dogetoshi.

Me and my big mouth

DOGE hardly flinched during the BTC crash.
Temporary "launch delay".

But seriously if I was the one moving DOGE upward I would have sold my BTC recently upon seeing the crash start and waited for the bottom on it.
Then bought back in and resumed my plan with DOGE. BTC doesn't actually have to rise again just yet for DOGE to hit it's next peak. But the "whale" or "whales"
who are working DOGE this month (before block halving in 12 days) will want to feel that BTC is at it's bottom and safe for them to re-buy back in.

Once they re-buy back into BTC the DOGE rise continues. Hopefully that is this weekend or Monday.

The stability on DOGE the last 48 hours has been impressive considering what was going on with BTC (which I think was caused by Alibaba IPO).

How did the alibaba IPO drop the BTC price so drastically?

This is the first I've heard if this and it makes no sense.

Thanks!

It probably didn't. Some people just try hard to find excuses.
