Why do ixcoins exist ?
I don't see what they bring to the party at all. 21 million ixcoins by 2015, sounds like someone was unhappy with missing the start of bitcoins and want their own personal currency. At that rate of generation/distribution all will be held by very few people.

How are you offering to pay me? And why? Oh wait, you need people to buy in and prop up your half a million worthless coins to portray the illusion they're worth something. You are offering to split the blockchain and divert resources that would be better served on the actual bitcoin project vs. some worthless clone you whipped up with other people's hard work.

Can someone with more insight please reply to this?

What would happen if plenty more of these clones pop up, each with a shorter maturity than the last one?
Was it was supposed to happen? What that implies is kind of scary...  Undecided

Well, you can read the

"Scam! Cheater! There's no point in this!"
vs
"You are just a jealous bitcoin early adopter! Easy mining! Easy profit!"

discussion at the offtopic section.

Clones are inevitable. Some people say that bitcoin will benefit from other crypto currencies, others say that we should focus all of our efforts in bitcoin instead of creating N different currencies.
It will be interesting to see if a real competitor comes up with some good improvements on bitcoin's weaknesses. Ixcoin is not the case. I personally don't like it because it doesn't have a real purpose, besides profit.

Thanks didn't find that for some reason. I guess the search is case sensitive here.

I missed out as an early adopter for bitcoin and am too tight to buy them so I modified the Bitcoin code, renamed it, made the 21million coins mineable in 2 hrs, I mined all the coins and would now like to start selling them, is anyone interested ?
