There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Difficulty 1 = Solo Miners Haven.

But i0guild will get more in the long run, maybe.

It is port 8332, I accidentally had mine set to 8338 so I missed the first dozen or so blocks.

Care to share/upload your i0coin client? I tried the uploaded .dll and couldn't get i0coin to open. Sad

Re-download the client from the i0coin.org link.  Carlos recompiled.

Whoops! I had it running.

What does it mean to get k-lined?

I am no longer connected. Is this permanent?

Started solo mining, solved like 10 blocks very quickly and then it appears they all immediately got orphaned as they are no longer in my transactions list... Now I've got two GPUs pointed at my local client and am not seeing the share count increment at all, though neither complains of connection problems. i0guild is essentially down for me too so wtf?

It's basically a network latency game now. BTC Guild should win this race simply because they have got more hashing power than anybody else and when the chain forks, their version will override everybody else's because they will confirm their own before they would even see anybody else's.

i0guild totally dominates the network. theoretically they could simply ignore all the solo miners...   Wink

I can't find a block at ALL solo mining.  I guess I'll settle for the steady flow from i0pool.
