I'm not getting packet loss ... but I live in Australia... maybe I'm to far away from most of the miners and I get in last

I'm only getting 30% stales now on digiBTC

still getting heaps of Longpolls new blocks though e.g. constantly:

 Using new LP URL /LP
i0.digbtc.net:8332 17/08/2011 16:02:41, LP connected to i0.digbtc.net:8332

you should be making way more i0Coins then you are in 9 hours you shoulda made easily 200 at 800 megahash especially when the difficulty was 1 my other mining box at roughly the same speed 800-900 megahash on a seperate i0Coin wallet made about 500 i0Coins today and that number is still going up and if I wasn't gettin %75 stales I imagine it would be around 1000 xD (stales are gonna be crazy high until the difficulty peaks)

I think I was getting over 99% stales for the first 8 hours or so.

It's actually just slowed down now might be a reason why you arn't generating as much now believe the difficulty is doubling every hour or so? (please correct me if I'm wrong xD)

Yeah, I still only have about 110 coins so  I won't be getting rich anytime soon. Actually this is probably the end of mining for me unless I go co lo or something because I now realise that I always get more stales than most people but I just shrugged it off but this really highlights the futility of it all. I already pay one of the highest electricity prices in the western world.

I'll maybe mine until I go to bed tonight though.

Even bitparking has only netted me 2 coins so far with 300/mhash in the last hour.

I think I need to do /etc/init.d/networking restart to to do that. Can't even find nscd. I'm not feeling like restarting my network stack at the moment. I could always call back my ISP and get a guy that is a bit more knowledgeable but I know how much of a pain it is when people call up wanting help with bittorrent etc. I was like no dude my ping latency between me and the ISP is higher than it was in the past. I'm not trying to get you to improve the latency of the international link.

no you shouldn't need to redo your networking stack or edit anything in your init.d you simply want a new dns ie why I was saying to flush your old one xD

and you shouldn't need to restart your networking stack or init.d I've never had to to change the dns xD

Guys this has nothing to do with your GPUs or whatever, it's this way due to the crazy low difficulty rate and the insane amount of hashing power poured into this fork early on. In other words the block generation time is so low that you can't get a valid share in. Once difficulty rises a bit you will see fewer stale shares.

that still doesn't answer the question why he's just hitting 100 i0coins after 9 hours and I hit 100 i0coins in an hour at half the hashrate xD

why would someone of much lower hashrate be ABLE to get shares in and someone with much higher hashrate NOT BE ABLE TO get shares in? xD

plus.. even with %75 stales the whole time mining I've still made 5 times what he's made and it should be the complete opposite he should make 50-100 times MORE then me..

It would be great to have a i0coin<>ixcoin exchange. DoubleC ?  Wink

Good idea. Could you also create rikurrCoin <-> i0Coin exchange? I've got some coins to dump.

I could create an rikurrCoin --> toilet exchange for all your dumping needs? Cheesy

This made me laugh so hard! hahaha I gotta take a dump!

 Cheesy

The currency backed by toilet paper.
