I have installed cherry picking software and when I try to run the program it tells me java is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.  Any help please.  I can only post in newbie page.

I just started loading the program with pools and it won't even start up.  The miners work in guiminer not when I go to start cherry picker.  The error message is what I listed above nothing more than that.  This is the second pc I installed software on the other worked good.

It sounds like you don't have java installed on the computer.

I have downloaded java again thinking that was the problem but I still am getting the same response when I start the program.

i had that same error. if you have java installed on your computer you may just need to set the path so your computer knows where to find it. you can do this by right clicking my computer > properties > advanced system settings > environment variables > in the bottom of the two scroll windows, called system variables, scroll down to the variable Path. Click edit > if there is a value already in the variable value line scroll to the end and put a ";". then type in your java path. mine for example is C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin

I have no idea how something else got into that space but your solution worked.  Thank you.

What is cherry picking software?

It's a bitcoin pool hopper. There are some other hoppers around, as well, but this one costs money. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=33031.0
