There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hello! Yes, It is CPU mineable. The miner works as a piece of software you install on your computer and run it, it's available for windows and linux and there's an android version as well. It will be available for browser-based mining (via coinimp.com) in the future, the team is working on the integration details. It's a coin, not a token. You can always have a look at the whitepaper.

Hi community. I have some doubts.
 Does anyone knows what  the donate-level option in the config.json file  does ?

Code:
 "donate-level": 5,      // donate level, mininum 1%

 Huh Huh Huh Huh

as you were told above, it's the % of your mined coins that is donated to the miner's creator. It's up to you to decide how much you want to donate.

While all the altcoins are drop down and the profit of mining is tending to zero - here profit is 1.6 $ for kh\s, and a few days ago was more than $ 2. Webchain mining is the most profitable use of the CPU now and probably Nvidia Cool

SHELLS - Experimental utility token. Branding and graphic design on the blockchain.

ThetaPool is down Sad

Yes, they've announced their need to close their pool due to personal reasons, it's sad. Everyone can check the other available pools here https://www.reddit.com/r/Webchain/comments/8viiig/webchain_mining_pools/

That is unfortunate, I was mining there for a while. Now I have switched to Loud Mining Pool, they have veried difficulty system which is giving me good results. There is also promotion with 10 000 WEBs giveaway this month, check it - https://www.reddit.com/r/Webchain/comments/93m5o0/loud_mining_august_promotion/

WEB should also have a large hidden Mind Pool. The Hash of Loud Mind Pool is not high.

It depends on what you're looking for. There are several factors that can help you decide: The fees, the frequency of payouts, the difficulty (in the way that your rewards become bigger or smaller and the frequency is also adapted), the time to find a block (the pool hashrate defines this). The stability of the pool servers.

The official pool is also on that list. Have a look at the pool stats here: https://pool.webchain.network. It has two ports with different difficulties.

Webchain Network invites the community to join Webchain server on Discord. Real-time communication and a very active community are some of the reasons why we prefer discord. Check out the list of channels we have created so far:

  • #general: discussions about the project that involve multiple parts of it;
  • #mining: real-time advice to improve the mining experience;
  • #trading: negotiations, exchanges;
  • #price-discussion: fresh discussions regarding WEB price;
  • #pools: official channel where pool-ops share important info.

Channels for Chinese, Korean, Russian, Arabic and Spanish have also been added, so you can talk to other members in your native language.

Read more advantages of joining discord on this new article on webchain.network.
