I would really appreciatte some help guys

everytime i plug in the GPU into mobo, i loose the main screen, any ideas, its not tjhe PSU or i even tried the null Dvi adaptor.. any suggestions would be appreciatted.

Try tightening the screws if your screen is loose.

I assume by the main screen you mean that your monitor is connected to a video output directly on the motherboard?

You have two options.

The motherboard bios usually has an option that selects the primary graphics output.  It is usually set to pcie.  When you place a card into the pcie slot it automatically outputs video on it.

Option 1
Go into the bios and change the primary option to onboard.

Option 2
If your bios doesn't have the option or you cant figure it out, Plug the monitor into the pcie card.
