I guess the best thing I can deliver is that we are willing to develop the project with or without anybody who thinks of being better off with dumping GIC. Although Bitcoin used to cost pennies it hasn't prevented what happened then. Our only concern was that large amount of cheap GIC can cause future volatility. But in fact the current volume is nothing in comparison to the potential market.
We are not stating the non-sense such as being new Bitcoin. We are just saying that we designed a technology that solves some of the ETH issues that were caused by specifics of its blockchain including constant sharding delays. We thoroughly explain all of that in our artices and WPs. If it had been already implemented we would have a whole another story. Most of you wouldn't be able to get a stake in it so cheap. I think most of our current investors were attracted by ROI and don't bother to read our content. But nonetheless it's great that there are community members who are willing to share their feedback and expertise. That's really helping us

Dear friends!

We have done a great deal of work connected with JavaScript V8 integration and building the framework which will allow to execute smart contracts in the Giant blockchain. In addition, we have changed the consensus algorithm from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake – and we can already call it a healthy transition.

Nonetheless, we regret to inform you that, despite all the considerable efforts of the team, the release of Giant.Exchange Beta is postponed. The primary reason is that smart contracts are still not in the main network of Giant. We are working hard every day but Giant Contracts still cannot be called fully ready for introduction.

This major update will dramatically change the logic of validation of blocks and transactions. We take the network stability very seriously. We believe that none of the readers would be pleased with a rushed smart contracts release that will jeopardize the entire network. Currently, we are on the brink of smart contracts module-level testing phase and plan to launch them in the Giant testing network this October.

Another reason of this delay is the human resources deficiency. The move to Proof-of-Stake has slowed down the pace of binary options platform development. Those of us responsible for marketing have completed a large objective – the website and logo redesign.  The end of this work on design will allow us to focus all our resources on the Giant.Exchange release. The crypto market is now bearish which means less enthusiasm about the digital currency and blockchain ideas with a subsequent decrease of the price of Giant Coin. This, in turn, led to new financial obstacles on the way towards the team expansion: it is no secret that our primary source of income is connected with masternode rewards.

The Giant team’s goal is to create the decentralized applications which work exactly as intended instead of presenting a raw demonstration of the smart contracts technology capabilities.

With all this in mind, the release of Giant.Exchange and Giant Contracts is rescheduled from Q3 to the end of Q4 2018.

This decision will allow Giant.Exchange to be more secure and reliable in the future, and despite the delay, our work never stops. We’ve already showed you the new design that’s been added to the Giant website as you read. As always, reports on our latest actions and immediate goals will appear on the Giant website.
