IDEX is a Decentralized exchange and there trade on peer to peer no one responsible for your trading, In Binace , Huobi those are centralized exchange There is a pool for trading and comparing to Idex security is high but fees are somewhat high,

Take your own risk when dealing with decentralized exchanges

Good luck !

IDEX is the only Ethereum decentralized exchange. it's similar to etherdelta and fordelta. but here a little bit ricky that is here you need to import your private key as like as Delta do.

So, Take your own risk when trade to like this kind of exchange.

The best decentralize exchange I have traded on is IDEX. It is more efficient than etherdelat or folkdelta. The security is very high and  the platform is simple to use too.

Its not the beginner friendliest exchange, but there are a ton of altcoins available. The volume is quite low in my opinion, too.
The thing which keeps me from trading at idex is that you have to import your PK. Thats a no go for me, no one knows who has access to the key. Imagine idex gets hacked ...

Well, as long as i used that exchange it same like using ED and FD, it's quite risky for me, but they are almost the exchange who easily accept new coin like his brother ED and FD.  All we do here is have their own risk, you can choose them wisely.
Carefull & Good Luck.

thanks for the answers, while I see two pluses in this exchange. The first is decentralization. The second is to bathe the tokens after the ico at a discount

The typical drawbacks of decentralized exchanges are the limited functionality, difficulty of use and low trade volume. On the other hand, centralized exchanges pride themselves on delivering on all of these aforementioned traits--making them more popular and of course, easier for the average, passive investor/trader to engage with. That said, decentralized exchanges work, they just require the user to be more attentive and well-versed in the inner workings of crypto. Decentralized exchanges are great for the minimalist and security enthusiast, if these traits are important to you then by all means IDEX. You can also look into ox protocol or airswap.

IDEX is the one of the best Decentralized exchange. Most time it works well than other ERC20 based exchange in the market. But sometimes I found some contract creating issues in the IDEX

i just found out about IDEX and used it with no problems. i kind of like it a lot. way more than etherdelta anyway. it is fairly decentralized so you need to have your own wallet. i used it with a ledger nano s. i would be scared to give it my private key but its same as My Ether Wallet i guess.
