Idea: Kraken.com Android App [new]

Hi Folks,

My name is Melroy van den Berg, software engineer/developer for several years. My idea is to create an unofficial Android App for the Kraken.com Exchange.
Due to the fact Kraken has in own API, it will be not that hard to create an Android app for it.

I will include the following features a.k.a. "Market Data" or "Exchange Rates":

• All currencies that Kraken provides
• Exchange Rates
• Include graphs of the market data
• Recent Trades
• Order Book
• Depth graph

Beside the info above, I will also include the following feature of the user a.k.a. "My account" optionally (which requires login):

• Account/trade balance
• Order data (open/closed/history/...)
• Place standard Order
• Cancel open Order

As long as the API will deliver all info I need, there is no limitations in the features of the Android app.
Please, let me know what do you think about the idea?

I post here, because I was shocked to find out that Melroy van den Berg stole the design of my app in his post, and apparently intends to copy this design for his own app. I think it's really weak to just literally copy some else's design, without even providing the credits that are in place.

I wonder if its safe to use an unofficial app of that kind at all. Can the code be reviewed? Im not saying that anyone is planning this but a scammer could create such app, let it run until many are using it and once he has access to many bitcoins or accounts, he sells all fiat and withdraws all coins to its own bitcoin address.

But i would like such app. I only wonder about the additional layer of risk.
