Bitcoin Chevy in NASCAR - raise Bitcoin worldwide awareness!

Hi all,

My name is Miguel and I'm from Portugal. I'm a computer engineer but, along with computers, I've a big passion about racing, in particular the American NASCAR series.

Since very young, I've been doing simracing (racing in computer simulators) but I've also been doing some real racing since 2009, in stock cars in Europe. Funny thing is that the computers helped me get real racing, since I managed to be the fastest in a stock car rookie test with only experience from the simulator.

Since 2012 NASCAR has an official series in Europe and my goal is now to enter this series. You can google for Miguel Gomes Nascar in google to have some extra info (there also this interview but it's in portuguese: https://vimeo.com/5406407)

Euro NASCAR racing is growing and has already a lot of TV exposure - check http://localracing.nascar.com/nwes/nascar_whelen_euro_series_tv_coverage_2016. I've an idea of joining this year in a Bitcoin themed car, this would raise awareness about Bitcoin in Europe and worldwide, since the series is broadcasted around the globe. I would like to get support from the community for this project, a sort of crowdfunding. The idea is that all supporters/partners would have their name (and/or company info) on my racing website and if the support is more then a determined value they would also be shown in the racecar itself, for a fixed number of spots.

I need about one Bitcoin for each race (in it's current price), the more I get the more I would be able to race. Any ideas on how I should accomplish this?

This would be an awesome concept. Perhaps you could go two fold with your fundraiser. Create a donation page on one of the popular crowdfunding websites in addition to setting up a page to accept donations via bitcoin.

Additiomally, with the TONS of emerging cryptocurrencies out there looking to spread their own brand awareness, perhaps there could be an option where one of these company could be the main image on your car instead of displaying BTC. I know there are a number of coins out there with disposable income that could be persuaded into something like this. This was a HUGE hit with dogecoin and Nascar a number of years back.

But long story short, it all starts with marketing. Bitcointalk is a great place to get the word out, as well as your facebook, vimeo, twitter account, etc. I would be more than happy to speak further here if you require any assistance.
