It's hard to get merit nowadays even though you post quality and constructive post.
Maybe because of limited sMerits?

I don't think so. May be your efforts are not enough to get merit.

Over 34,000 ethereum smart contracts containing $4.4 million in ETH may be vulnerable to exploitation. That’s the conclusion reached by a quintet of researchers hailing from Singapore and the UK. Their technical report, which is currently undergoing peer review, suggests that millions of dollars in ether may be at risk from poorly coded smart contracts that contain a variety of bugs.

https://news.bitcoin.com/report-claims-34000-ethereum-smart-contracts-vulnerable-bugs/

Smart contracts help you exchange money, property, shares, or anything of value in a transparent, conflict-free way while avoiding the services of a middleman.

The best way to describe smart contracts is to compare the technology to a vending machine. Ordinarily, you would go to a lawyer or a notary, pay them, and wait while you get the document. With smart contracts, you simply drop a bitcoin into the vending machine (i.e. ledger), and your escrow, driver’s license, or whatever drops into your account. More so, smart contracts not only define the rules and penalties around an agreement in the same way that a traditional contract does, but also automatically enforce those obligations.

https://blockgeeks.com/guides/smart-contracts/

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote that he wanted to study decentralizing technologies like encryption and cryptocurrency -- "that take power from centralized systems and put it back into people's hands," in his words -- and figure out how to use them in Facebook's services.

https://www.cnet.com/news/facebook-is-reportedly-starting-a-blockchain-team/

Just for example. We can do better than this, can we?  Smiley

I could not stand the lies against me anymore. I can not prove them wrong too. It's better I live in peace.
So, I am willingly locking mdayonliner. Thank you BitcoinTalk. Be addictive, be a Bitcoiner.

Roll Eyes, Do you really expect to get merit for these meaningless messages?

Aside from that, making Smerit unlimited would literally open the floodgates for spammers/scammers to abuse the $hit out of it ( by sending 100s of merits to their friends etc.), so no, seems like a dumb idea.

Merit is limited and there are already bunches of Merit Abusers, just think about how if Merit become "Unlimited".

Agreed. These Merit Abusers will become rich for sure.

If the Smerit were unlimited it would defeat the purpose of the system.

The idea is that every Tom, Dick and Jomar can't show up here drop garbage all over the place and earn a Full, Senior, Hero, Legendary rank; just to spam around wearing signatures.

In my opinion you insult the forum by coming here to shitpost all over the place (see your last 3 threads in serious discussion board, what a fucking joke) and then complain you can't rank up and make more money.

You're here for one reason and one reason only, bounties.  You're first post ever on the forum was in a bounty thread with your information in it (that was trashcanned BTW).  You have tons of posts in the trashcan.

You're not here for crypto's and the people that are here for crypto's (ie the ones with merit) can see that as plain as day, even if you can't or won't admit it.

Merit system may not be perfect but as long as it gives shitposters any kind of a hard time I would support it all day long!

Well, that's the real problem, you admitted it. People like you posts spams just to earn money which is wrong. Although you're in a campaign or not, you should make your posts more "Quality".  Not shitpost  Huh

I am asking for your wise opinions.

Well, my opinion is NO. We must learn to satisfy about Merit System. Threads like this should never be created.

How to post a quality post when you discovered crypto just a month ago?

There are too many ways. For example is this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3469010.msg36047535#msg36047535
See, you received Merits from rickbig41 because you just created a Quality posts.

A "Quality Post" consists of the following.
1. Constructive (English or not)
2. Informative
3. Unique (Not copied and pasted)
4. With effort.

It doesn't matter if you'd just started to learn about crypto a few months ago.

Just a reminder, posting spam posts for the sake of money is not worth it. You'll realise that soon.

And what I intended for unlimitted sMerits is from the merit sources, because all of merit sources is only limited to 17+k merits per month.

Who would it be unlimited for? Everyone? Then what would be the point? I don't think you've thought this through. Merit shouldn't be given away for nothing and should require some effort to acquire, but more sources will likely need to be added to meet demand. People also still need to put much more effort into their posts as well. People who are making great contributions seem to have no problem in getting the merit but it's those that who are making sub-par contributions that will (and should) struggle.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3531472

Check out the last couple of weeks.

12/13/14/15.

If you count all the merit given, the amount of merit given/sent this month was roughly ~18k.

nNew was roughly 27.5% for that month alone, so i guess you can conclude for sure that that didn't come from sources ( since i believe most of the sources were assigned at the beginning of the merit system).

So, the amount of merit that came from sources that month could at maximum be somewhere between 13-14k. Although i would argue that it's even way less than that since there's still  alot of other users that have alot of Smerits to spend...

Knowing this, i don't think merit sources currently have a shortage of merits to hand out. Rather some kind of surplus. 17k-(14k***) = ~+3k

You might be right that giving merit sources unlimited amounts of merit would cause them to merit posts more often, but then again, is that something we really want?

I would also ask you to think before you post. If you did you probably wouldn't ask if the blockchain looked like a Beehive. I'm not sure an unlimited supply of merit would be a good idea unless it was given only to the top percentage of highly trusted people. An account in the wrong hands could be used maliciously and having an unlimited amount is just ripe for abuse. With that being said, if someone is giving it out appropriately and is constantly running out of it their source should be extended as appropriate.

I am just being silly about that beehive thingy. I see that is the reason. For me those merit sources are highly trusted people.

I remember I posted it on the off topic section that beehive thing. So, no worries.
