If I would like to buy some altcoins, would you recommend using some multicurrent client such as ufasoft (or some other), or is there any reason for using own wallets for every currency?

And how about mining; is it possible to mine different altcoins with one client, or should there be own client per currency?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Can anyone comment on this? Is there any reason to use currency dedicated clients, vs. multicurrency client..?

Apart from Ufasoft what other multi-currency clients are there?

Still thinking this issue...

If I would like mine few different altcoins, do I really have to install separate wallets and separate mining applications for all of these? Isn't there any software that would allow mining of ANY coin, or wallet that could be used for storing ANY coin?
