I'd like to but some bitcoins via paypal, but would like recommendations of trusted sources. Could anyone suggest anyone? I was thinking to use an escrow service or something so that we can both be confident of a smooth transaction.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

and maybe add that the operator is usualy offline on sunday. right now the site is probably sold out

in a few hours (Monday) it would work and will be working for the rest of the week

If you're stuck I would be willing to sell you some Bitcoins at 1BTC = 1USD (this is the lowest price you can currently get Bitconis for on bitcoinmarket.com and I personally think 1 BTC is worth no less than a 1 US dollar anyway).  If you are interested please PM me with the amount. I can sell as well, I'm in the USA so if that is where you are, there would be no fees (I'm not sure where Mahkul is from)
