They will simply do it without him then.
That was an expected response by the ASIC MOB.

It's the end of Scrypt then...
Pick a coin here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522235.0

and add Litecoin to the list.

Litecoin was a scam in the first place.
And as it seems, it's not secure though.

It is the start of real serious scrypt, especially if Litecoin and DOGE adapt so they can be merged mined together, thus no longer trying to fragment the scrypt space making all scrypt coins weaker. Finally scrypt can mature to be a real option for serious finances instead of a toy that can only be used for trivially small transactions due to its vulnerability to double-spend attacks and such.

Aah, Nr. 2 is on board now.

It's a trio. Extended version of the good cop/bad cop duo.
Here we have a good cop/bad cop/senior crook trio.
Dangerous people, probably.

And now comes the "Merged Mining" side story.
Let me use some of your favorite phrases here:

BULLSHIT!
SCAM!

From left to right: Agents El Dude, MarkM, and BCX

and your on them all defending them i have watched you do it for ages..
want some credibility over those other guys that already earned theirs ?
don't get involved in the sleaziest of scam coins then run around here defending them non stop.. with bs.

those other guys you mentioned always have something to say and are thoughtful mature and articulate and contribute to the conversations.
do you ?

edit:
i read most of it on that link and guy makes some compelling arguments for sure.
and lets be real here who is qualified to make those decisions ? That dev talking knows more about than i do so his word has more weight than mine
or many of yours here who just got here and are barking on for ulterior motives..

I agee they are flawed, best stick with Scrypt.

I think we should raise an incentive for someone to optimizes the Sgminer though.

here is what was said about X11 quoted for ya all..

Quote
X11 is Far Worse
X11 suffers from the problems stemming from increased propagation latency and slow verification, and adds even worse susceptibility to ASIC advantage.  It is a mere mishmash of 11 separate algorithms that are now GPU mineable (according to Darkcoin’s homepage).  Anything GPU mineable can be implemented in custom hardware.  To make matters worse, ASIC’s could even have a major speedup advantage over GPU’s.   adam3mus said, “it does seem likely that eg if the unused space due to heat can be filled with the other hashes, then it can all be pipelined together and no slowdown.  the only cost is replicating different hash functions which doesnt seem particularly hard”

So a switch to X11 only delays the inevitable.  Switching the hash to X11 would only spite the current manufacturers while ultimately failing in the goal of preventing ASIC’s later.  It gets even worse.  If the cost of entry for a particular PoW is very high by design, that increases the chance of fewer competing manufacturers entering a market.  This is the worst possible outcome for any Bitcoin-like network that relies upon large quantities of greedy miners to outdo each other to maintain network security.

rational thinking is what i see going on.. fanboysism is the definition of stupidity
things ARE the way they are so i want real information and not sensational headline titles as seen on the DarkCoin topic title i already made fun of lol
the title of the ANN page boasts a bunch of bs as far as i am concerned.

And guys let's not forget about Botnets like Darkcoin is trying hard to do.. they are avoiding addressing that issue or acknowledging it in anyway.
even after i went and mentioned it and got flamed.. it is basically a coin copied from Quark etc and those suffer from severe massive botnet operations that continue to grow.
people go and rent massive server farms to mine them but idiots ignore this going on with Dark coin and push the it's asics resistant company tag line..
I also mentioned that it's not just it's being pushed as a "common man" cpu miner coin but it's a GPU mined coin with STILL no gpu miners even mentioned on page 1 of the ANN topic.
deceptive bs and games to say the least combined with other pages like the official CPU-Only Coin list here at bitcointalk pushing it as coin #3 in the cpu mined coins list.
