Today again bitcoin will prove that protocol rules. It will cut its supply in half and everyone knows about it from day one, isn't it something new when we see our current financial systems Smiley

Its been 5 years and I am still amazed to see how bitcoin is growing day by day. Fighting its growing pain, accommodating lots of new people with very new dimension and thought process, challenging the DNA of our financial systems and transforming itself from bad money to next biggest invention Smiley

I do not know much about bitcoin as of yet, but I have read an article about it.
What do you think will happen now? How does halving is gonna affect the value of bitcoin this year? Any ideas or predictions?

Halvening is not so good for these days, mining fees will surely rise very high. It was a good idea to sell my BTC before this happened, and I can only assume the price to fall even lower as time passes by. For buying, it might be a good oppurtunity but I doubt BTC will reach the price of 700$ again soon.

Why is everyone wishing happy halving day? What good will halving bring to bitcoin? I dont think it will either be good or bad and there is no point in celebration it

It is just a milestone in Bitcoin's life.
People do celebrate New Year's Day, although there is no rational reason to do so.  Smiley
