I don't think EOS affecting the price of ETH now. ETH is still used for most of the ICOs and I don't see reasons why it should change any time soon. Moreover, some people whom I trust say that EOS technology is inferior to ETH.

I think this is very likely. Ethereum is now ranked second. I believe it will not allow other currencies to surpass its status. And, I think Ethereum has the potential to become the king of new money, and I hope it can develop. The better and better.

I think that affecting the price of Ethereum falls not just the EOS factor alone but rather the big investors who attract the funds because they've for big Ethereum touched $800 |

In my opinion this can be due to Casper update that should happen this year, ICOs of course. Whenever you go to some meetup or around the internet, you will often hear that ethereum is the enxt thing because of dApps. Honestly many people are familiar with ethereum nowadays, if you've heard about bitcoin you probably have heard of ether. With bitcoin having high price some people do see ethereum as cheaper alternative. Plus ethereum has huge community support.

The crypto currency market is obviously keeping a trend that crypto lovers are keeping watch. it is obviously a way that the trend keeps as it always goes down in price during the start of every year and kicks back up at the second quarter of the year. and i guess that is what is currently ongoing. thanks

You stated all the way from the ETH and then ended up with the EOS, that was tricky for me. Well, ETH is at one place and EOS is at another. Somehow EOS got pumped a lot, all the way from 8 bucks to almost 17 bucks. That was hell of journey but that was just someone putting more stakes into it, may be a whale or something. But as far as I see ETH growth, its step by step and worth something that will make it grow higher than others always. Its many investors rather than single person who are putting more money into it and thus ETH is spiking. Hopefully we will reach beyond the ATH rates soon. |

An additional impetus for Ethereum has been the growth of hashing power in the network by about 10% since early May, especially after news that ASIC miners for Ether will soon appear.

It looks that way. If you look at the charts from the ethereum prices from a couple of days ago to this point you will see some very erratic movement in the coin and there was some change in the hashrate for a couple of hours which was around when the price actually went down for a while before it started recovering again and going back up. Someone is definitely putting money into it and pumping the price.

According to a SEC statement every coin on the ETH platform is a security. If the SEC level the field ETH will be worthless!

EOS has not been launched in the main chain yet, it is unknown whether we can surpass ETH.
EOS is researched and developed on the basis of Ethernet, and it is optimized on the basis of it, and it has already been paid very high overall!
If EOS can implement its white paper function, replacing ETH may only be a matter of time!

At this point, i too am convinced that someone might be pumping ethereum. The price increased a lot last week and then out the blue, it just drops down in the span of a couple of hours and not too long after, the price is up again. So what I think is that someone is putting a lot of money into it and buying a lot of coins but they have not yet gotten to their price market to dump.

Regarding the context of the question and in general, the only coin that affects Ethereum is the Bitcoin the others does not directly affect Ethereum and to the maximum that can affect is the conclusions of investors stimulating new interests. In short, neither EOS nor any other currency has the power to overthrow Ethereum at the present time.

Maybe with dumping ico funds, otherwise i do not see eos as a competitor of ethereum. Eos is a project on a chalkboard and with the project team they have it will stay that way or at best be unfinished forever |
