Now you understand that this was the wrong decision. I hope that you have not invested all the capital in ETH. It seems to me that keeping the capital in bitcoin is much safer.

Well, if you have a lot of bitcoins, then I think it's not worth throwing everything into Ethereum, I would advise about 30% to invest, still there are risks

I would bet on ethereum and convert btc to eth. It seems to me more potential and undervaluated at the moment. Speaking about it I have an example while ethereum was over 700 and btc was on the same level as today

Convert bitcoin to the etherium is a wrong decision. Bitcoin in 2018 did not please investors, the market does not show growth. But the etherium has disappointed even more, it has fallen in price below 200 dollars and the tendency to the further falling remains.

in the cryptocurrency world, it is not advisable to put all your eggs in one basket. i would suggest you split them 50/50. sell half of your bitcoin and buy Ethereum as the two coins are potential coins

In my opinion, both BTC and ETH are the best electronic currencies on the market. But in my opinion, BTC has the most important influence role of all Altcoin. So, keep the BTC and if possible buy more ETH. ETH is low and will rise in the near future.

well, so why not to buy ETH on the bottom? If you look to the price chart it's not the first time when the ETH fall over bitcoin, i think now is one of the best moment to convert.

Umm, i wouldn’t do that Grin Because apparently nothing will grow back before bitcoin does. Btc still dominates the whole market. But in the end, it’s your decision. Hope you won’t regret Smiley

I think it's pretty risky. You understand that you forget about diversification. You can't. Be more calm and analyze the whole situation.

I think it would be foolishness to convert all your BTC into Altcoins. What people need is to win both ways, have a ratio of BTC:Altcoins:Tether and try to rebalance it forthnightly, instead of going all in on a project. We all wish to have the price of these projects move up but also we need to prepare for the unwanted scenario

The idea is good, but the risks are too high, it is very difficult to say which cryptocurrency will be bigger than bitcoin or Etherium. Seems to me to be about equal to growth. I'm always for less risk, why not suggest to sell bitcoin.

The etherium gave growth much larger than bitcoin in 2018. and the fact that he now costs $ 200 is not the worst price. those who keep the long etherium and bought it in early 2017 still in a big plus. for me, the conversion takes place, but not the transfer of the whole deposit to another casino

In my opinion, it's much better to hold bitcoin for the long term than to hold ethereum, which has been very cheap this year. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, and you have to keep it as long as possible.

I think it's not a good decision.Bitcoin is base of crypto world.Bitcoin is the don of crypto world. You stand on crypto market by Bitcoin. So you never need to think other without main thing. If you only make difference between BTC and Ethereum my suggestion is BTC.

Should i remind you about that? that's only for those have been buying ethereum when it was a penny. And this time OP wants to convert his bitcoin to the ether when it  has reached high price. You just give a suggestion for someone to take the big risk by converting his bitcoin to the ethereum. That looks so terrible in my opinion.

It depends on what goals you pursue. I converted all of my Etherium into Tether a few days ago, right before the fall, now I'm waiting for the market to start growing in the opposite direction, that would be bought with coins.
If you just want to invest in the long term and not play on the dynamics of the market, then just leave all assets in bitcoin.

Do you see the point in this? I honestly do not. I do not know why many are fixated only on Bitcoin and Ether. For example, I'm interested in other crypto-currencies. And it brings me pleasure.

i was thinking to sell my bitcoins and buy ethereum what do you thinkl guys

well. it is not a bad idea. first of i heard from many people that ethereum can beat bitcoin in the future so bitcoin can loose the dominance in crypto market. Even if it can not do this, ethereum is one of the strongest project in crypto market.

Why sell bitcoin? I don't think it is worth it. There are no coins on the market that can surpass the value of Bitcoin! And when the market goes up, Bitcoin will definitely rise!
