Greetings. I represent a developing ICO on this forum and I can see that for people to get to know it more we need an ANN thread and a campaign. Some ICOs start bounties and pay in tokens that are to be released. Others are paying in bitcoin weekly. What is more effective in your opinion?
P.S. I know that people mainly believe that ICOs are scamming people and try not to deal with them, but I really believe that the company I am working for is different. It has a business and simply wants to expand by adopting blockchain and creating the token of its own.
Cheers and thanks for recommendations!

If all you want is as many spammers as possible, without worrying about their post quality, a bounty should be enough (it's all there is in the Altcoin board).

If you're looking for real advertisement (you'll make sure to hire a campaign manager that will REALLY work, which means accept only HQ users and constantly check their posting quality), a signature campaign paying with BTC will be more effective. I would also suggest you filter some spammers out by requiring a few merits to apply.

There are some bounties that pay with btc.

They make content creation paid with btc, signature campaign paid with btc...
That will be more effective because people willing to work only accept btc.

If you pay with your tokens, which are worthless now and probably will be worth something in the future, you will not attract the best people.

As TryNinja said, you will probably only attract spammers aaying "good project", "Bitcoin is good" etc all the way if you pay with your tokens.

Take a look at this topic for the best managers around (highly recommend to have a good use for your money)

If the choices are between Bounty and a Signature Campaign, well I'll recommend Signature campaign. Nowadays, bounty campaign always end up being spammed by a lot of spammers except if you are or you hire a very responsible manager for your bounty campaign so that spams and spammers will be avoided. But as usual, bounties always end up being abused by bounty cheaters and spammers.

Signature campaign will cost a lot but it's worth it as the advertisement of your project will surely run smoothly, just hire a responsible manager and escrow to do the job and you are good to go.
Here are some good managers that I suggest you to hire. Just contact them. They have different strategies in managing campaigns and it's up to you which strategy to pick.
Yahoo62278
LoyceV
Zapo (A very responsible manager, s/he only picks quality posters as participants)
Actmyname (he is very strict at posts, you can expect high quality posts from his participants)
And there's more. Just visit Services and you'll find Campaign manager services threads.

I would also recommend user Lauda as a professional bounty manager with a full escrow team. He/She can provide a transparent work team. Here some links that may help you:

We probably already found a decent Legendary member to hire as a manager. I also think that bitcoin campaigns are more rare and more valued, posters do better job there. I'll talk to other members of the team about it. Thanks!

Thanks Silent26 and coupable-1 for your advice on managers and escrow! We'll think it through.

If given the choice I would go with a Sig Campaign, if done right you can attract a better quality user to promote your ICO. It's just an impression but projects associated with a bounty just seem sketchier to me.

Signature campaign will cost a lot but it's worth it as the advertisement of your project will surely run smoothly, just hire a responsible manager and escrow to do the job and you are good to go.

They don't necessarily have to cost a lot of money. There are some lower paying campaigns that can still generate good visibility. I have also sen some where they tie payout to a specific USD amount.

We probably already found a decent Legendary member to hire as a manager.

Not sure how much research you did, but don't rely solely on rank. Look into their trust history, or previous experience.

Have you also considered Paid advertising on the forum? This is an auction where you can bid to advertise.

Campaigns paid in Bitcoin must cost some money. little or lot depends on the size of the campaign.
If there token payments, then cost almost nothing, because they are spending collected money, no need his own money to start marketing promotion.

I find latest Yahoo62278 Moonx active campaign. here it is launched signature campaign payments in BTC, and bounty program payments in his coins. Bounty program limited to 250 participants. most likely everyone will be satisfied with this campaign.

There might be some Managers who offer less money but most of the managers usually when managing a huge campaign costs a lot of money than paying participants with tokens. Sig campaigns uses Bitcoin as payment so it's an additional costs. Costs for the Manager + escrow + payments for the participants.

I'm prefer signature campaign because they mostly paid with btc meanwhile bounty also paid with their token.
The problem is we can't make sure that their token has the value in the future but not all bounty is worthless !
It's depend on you !

The ICOs that pay with coins like bitcoin (or maybe even etherium) are usually managed on the forum by trusted people who accept people with a  good quality of posts and often are limited in partecipants.
ICOs that pay with tokens, generally attract spammers in order to spam as much as possible in the forum, often without looking at the quality of the posts but only the amount.
For this reason, since there are many more people involved, they are often prey to abusers who participate with multiple accounts, since the purpose is to spam, often they are not even checked.

For me, I'll go with signature campaign because it seems more efficient and attractive to the applicants as well. Here are the reasons why (IMO):

1. Since the payment is in terms of btc, the participants are never worried about losing its value (unlike alts/tokens). Hodling it for a long time or spending in an instant were not a problem.
2. Since the payment are done weekly, the participants can be able to save more time and effort assuming that the ICO they're advertising was a scam simply because it's easier to mitigate. In short, they feel more secured.
3. There's a greater quota, usually 25-30 posts per week compare to bounty only having 15 posts. Meaning, much frequent advertising within a week which is favorable for the developers of course.

Furthermore, to ensure a succesful campaign, choosing a campaign manager is also a factor to be considered. You should pick the one who's punctual (from updating the spreadsheet to sending of payments), always approachable for case of queries and strict to implementation of rules but still reasonable. Thus, considering yahoo62278 or Zapo would be a great choice. Good luck Smiley.

Last campaigns managed by Lauda:
These bounty campaigns that you linked are not managed by Lauda. All of them had a disclaimer on the next post.

Disclaimer:
The bounty manager(s), the thread author and the project owners are three independent entities. The bounty manager(s) and the thread author are facilitators and not the bounty-issuers. They will not be held liable in the event of a breach of contract by the bounty-issuer or failure to fulfill their obligation. Facilitation is NOT an automatic endorsement of product or service being offered, unless explicitly stated. We reserve the right to change the campaign at any moment, and reject people based on our judgement.

Both of them are effective imo the only difference that i've experienced between the two is that there's less moderation on the side of bounties compared to signature campaigns.
