OK, I got this issue resolved. It is a bter bug and not something that had to do with having oversold the balance. I knew that there was no way that I oversold my balance.
What you should do to resolve this is to install the imqq (do it on a computer that you don't use to trade your coins if you don't trust the QQ program to not steal your info).
add all those bter support QQ IDs to your contact and wait for the China working hours to IM them, IM the QQ IDs that show that they are online (green dot status). Some of the support people understand English OK, but most don't understand English at all and rely on the translator to understand the message. So, keep your IM messages short and simple, tell them that you have a coin withdraw problem. Tell them your account ID and tell them your error message (don't worry about hiding the error code, I think they are just your transaction balances).
If you are lucky, a competent person will take your account ID and your error code and tell you that you have an account imbalance of a coin type and that you need to "top up" with a certain amount of that coin. If you are not lucky, you will exchange several messages before you get passed to a competent person.
You can use your current BTC balance to buy that amount of coins or you can transfer in the required amount (buy/transfer in a little more just to be sure).
If you are brave and have a large reserve of fund, you can just buy/transfer in the coin that is giving you the error message to increase your balance until the error is resolved. This way, you don't have to wait for support.
After that, the error/bug will be fixed and you will be able to transfer out your coins. They make it sounds like you have a negative balance, but you don't, it is just some bug that they have. You don't actually lose any coin after you "top up", you can just transfer out the balance after the bug is fixed.

What is the irc address? I tried on qq. I managed to get QQ2 who asked for my account and the error code. But then left it hanging. Lets see if it gets resolved tomorrow.

Hi, Bter.com is verifying the agreement of the funds transfer-in/out and trading records. Please send an email to " support@bter.com" if you cannot make a withdrawal due to a "fund error". There's a large volume of customer requests, please be patient. Thanks for explaining freeworm.

And what is the amount in question? The last numbers in the error code? I have: FTC-1304--23--0.8996 so do I have to buy 0.8996 FTC to solve the problem? EDIT: That didn't work. I buy 3 FTC but the error remains.

I tried a WDC partial withdrawl and it worked. I will list in detail what I did. At first I got an error code DTC 1577 - xx-yy. Not knowing whether x or y or both is the missing amount, I bought up the sum. Then I tried again and again error code showed up (with the values mentioned slightly less). One of the posters had mentioned that withdrawl magically worked the next day so I thought maybe they need some time to 'refresh' Early next day I contacted them through QQ. I got a response asking for account id and error code. I provided them those and then they stopped replying. Today I checked my account and saw DTC amounting to xx (the middle number) has been deducted from my account. I then tried a partial WDC withdrawl and it worked. I would like to suggest against keeping funds on Bter. It is succeptible to MitM attacks; technically even bitcointalk is more secure. Wait, but they do have 2FA - but there's a catch. Sometimes it gets disabled for no reason. It happened to me once and somebody went into account and used my funds to trade with himself and clean out my balance. I lost quite a lot of WDCs, FTCs and LTCs. When I complained to bter I received a very heart warming reply, 'Sorry for your loss' For some reason I seem to be on the receiving end of exchanges. Coins-E stole 12k PXCs, Bter lost me quite a big amount and even cryptsy misplaced 0.2 BTCs a few days back and now claim it is fixed. The exchange situation regarding alts is a joke.

You may wish to try 30 FTC, then sign out of your account and sign back in and try the withdrawal again. If that doesn't work, maybe try sending 30 FTC from your wallet to your Bter.com account, then try the withdrawal again. You may end up with "Too many tries, please try again later."

I asked support in QQ about this problem, and thay send me this: Bter交易平台客服① 11:31:01 用户 BTC 出入资金统计结果:
This looks like an error in trading software and disbalance of amounts. They deduct 0.0037 BTC from my account and now withdraw is Ok.

I was able to get in touch with someone on QQ, he/she told me there was an imbalance of xxx btc,. (i have more than that), yyy ltc (I have more than that) and zzz xpm (I didn't have any of them). So I bought the zzz amount of XPM... problem is still there. Then he/she sent me the list of my trades.. (what should I do with them?? not clear to me). I'm still waiting for someone who speaks a better english to let them know the problem and have it sorted out.
