Hello my name is Jeff Mann. I am 24 and have a wife and a child on the way. I have always been an avid PC hobbyist and overclocker, and then one day I discovered bitcoins and fell in love. Ive been mining ever since. I even bought a tangible bitcoin from coinedbits.com and carry it around everywhere I go and spread the word. Once a girl said "now thats some freaky geek sh(# right there" And I just laughed.

Eager to become a member of the community, so maybe I wont have to be stuck in this board for long Wink

Once again, hello all from Jeff Mann and Family.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Don't really suppose I'm qualified to give you a welcome as I'm new here too - but hello all the same! I've just discovered mining and am thinking about buying a HD 5830 from a friend who has one spare. What rig are you running and how is it going for you?

Congratulations are also in order Smiley
