Flat out theft hiding behind weasel words.

The only other place I've heard of that keeps money like this is Changelly. Funnily enough Changelly and HitBTC are alleged to be operated by the same people.

I am glad I added HitBTC to my scam alert signature. When exchanges start using the following listed before as excuses to selective scam users, they deserve to go bust and deserve all the negative publicity in crypto world.

They seem to clear cut thieves, they seem to be selective scamming and they think they can get away with it. Well they cannot get away with it because the community will take a stand against them.

It is time for those that use HitBTC to ditch these scammers and move over to a reputable exchange

They scam me. But my story can be covered by specialised media. I hope my story will help other customers to not try this exchange.
Because I see too much people scammed by HitBTC on twitter and reddit, so we need to stop it now.

Good to know  Grin

I wish I had added them to mine earlier but nhad to give them the benefit of the doubt.

If we do not get together and expose the scams, the scammers and those that support and prop-up them up then they will win and will keep scamming innocent and gullible investors.

When these pathetic exchanges start asking for impossible traces of transactions such as signing messages from wallets from years ago, they are all the hallmarks for scammers. Add to that the other excuses then they are not to be trusted even by old early adopters.

Moderator of Bitcointalk must rename this post with a special warning .

I ask my lawyer , he say :
How can they ask you, to contact an attorney, to affirmed that you did a transaction with an other man if he didn't see the transaction ? It's impossible.

But they know it of course.

And in my case, it's minus than 1 BTC.
They have all documents about me.

But no problem. They scam me. Ok. Now, maybe english is not my main language, but I'm now contacted by french specialist media in Cryptocurrencies & High tech to expose what they are doing with me and a lot of customers. Maybe after they will write a news about this, some english media will accept to talk about HitBTC scam.

Thank you again for your support here, I don't want to flood this forum.
Sorry for this.

Yes the number of people getting scammed is increasing, any form of publicity to alert newbies and gullible people about the scam to protect them would be a wise move.

I hope the "team" behind the disaster that is HitBTC will wake up to the fact that they cannot drag this scam out forever. Either they need to pull their act together and stop behaving in this manner or they have to close down (or sell their business to allow another team to repair the damage)

I agree with you.
The problem is HitBTC doing targeting scam, so a lot of people have been no scammed.

But recently, as you can see on my previous post, I found a lot of people in the same case than me.
We must act.

I don't know the reason behind there scam : Have they been hacked ? Have they doing an exit scam ?
Anyway, Something bad is going on.

I just contact a lawyer in Hong Kong, recommended by my French Government , to start the sue in court if they don't give me my money.

I hope you start proceedings against the scammers because if you are the first it will be a test case and others can follow. Maybe taking class action in a group with other victims would be better as it has safety in numbers and lowers the cost.

Maybe you are right, they might have been hacked or might be looking for an exit strategy - those might be some of the reasons they are selective scamming.

Well according to the news going around HitBTC seems like it is milking every last drop of every single user it can selective scam before it will probably start scamming its early adopters too in the run-up to shutting down.

I have barely any coins on the exchange and I don't find it even worth withdrawing my tokens. I have some CCT tokens and they are charging more tokens as fee than the amount of tokens I have. They were worth 1200 dollars earlier but now worth $2. I can either sell them in distress sale or keep them on the exchange. Same goes for FLP.

Hi, it's time for me to tell my story
6/04/2019 i make deposit 2504 MAID coin into my address hitbtc wallet
https://www.omniexplorer.info/search/c826f84c1ec6e1490a7e022059bdf2205a5072d02b81f81638a9ecbab494317b
But the coins were not credited, after which I wrote to the support service that they would solve this problem
Today they sent me a amazing answer!

Quote
Dear Trader,

We will credit your deposit to you manually. The reason for this trouble is described below.

The address you’re currently using for MAID deposits 19AxyQ9giXPMWV1CoTyUJMYnCEeJy3SxhR has been disabled on June 1st, 2019. Please switch to a new MAID address for making deposits on your HitBTC account. It’s more safe and secure.

Should you make a deposit to an old address, it can be processed manually only after your request to us. As it requires additional work, it will take up to a month and a $100 fee will be charged.

Regards,
Eugene Moura
HitBTC Support Team

You understand? they claim that they disconnected the wallet 5 days before I made a deposit! BUT I have not been notified! And now I have to pay them $ 100 and wait 1 month!

The new scheme of fraud from hitbtc, be careful!

I haven't used the exchange for sometime until yesterday, I don't use exchanges much in general, but am I the only one who thinks their fees are ridicilous? I can't recall them being like this before and it's definitely higher than the other platforms out there...

This is one of the reasons why i do leave out on this exchange because of its ridiculous fees.It hasnt been changed ever since no matter what the price of either btc or altcoins in the market
the fee is always been the same.If you do have micro transactions then fees would really hurt you up.

I guess you're using them after a while. I first used it back in January 2018 and I'm sure that they had that crazy withdraw/deposit fee back then as well. I had to withdraw about 28k DENT (as far as I remember), and their fee was about 3k DENT (which used to be about $50 back then if I recall correctly). Imagine giving $50 as the service fee just for a withdrawal. Roll Eyes
