while i would never wish ill thoughts onto him, the fact is people get hit by a bus everyday.
people get heart attacks every day, people travel to other countries and catch a bad flu and pass away in short notice, people get poisoned by jealous husbands for screwing their wives, and so on and so forth.
perhaps he is being held hostage for non-bitcoin-related reasons, perhaps he is in a federal PMITA prison serving life sentence for some non-bitcoin-related charges.
that means we will never get to know him.

{ Imagine a sequence of bits generated from the first decimal place of the square roots of whole integers that are irrational numbers. If the decimal falls between 0 and 5, it's considered bit 0, and if it falls between 5 and 10, it's considered bit 1. This sequence from a simple integer count of contiguous irrationals and their logical decimal expansion of the first decimal place is called the 'main irrational stream.' Our goal is to design a physical and optical computing system system that can detect when this stream starts matching a specific pattern of a given size of bits. bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166760.0 } Satoshi did use a friend class in C++ and put a comment on the code saying: "This is why people hate C++".

It really doesn't matter. People die all the time, and the current devs have proved themselves competent enough to continue his vision.

He has returned to his galaxy We should be more concern if he's not. At least if he's dead he can't come back with a nsa badge to laugh his ass out at our faces I reckon it's best those coins stay stationary. If they do ever get moved I hope they're drip fed out and not dumped all at once. Depends on the motivations of the individual in charge of them.

Any proof of this? Whilst it is of course possible, I think it'd be even more improbable to remain anonymous if there was a group of people, especially in charge of around a billion dollars worth of coins.

Satoshi Nakamoto is a code name for the bitcoin project. It's not a person.
That's what I have been saying for the past many months. And the project was run by a large number of people. It wasn't dependent on a single individual.

Satoshi became an ideal, more or like it was/is Che Guevara. So, doesn't matter if it's alive or not, it will always be in our hearts.
Most of what people think Che stands for, is actually the opposite. Everytime I see someone post about "Che" I kind of die inside a little because I know they are extremely confused. " The cult of Ernesto Che Guevara is an episode in the moral callousness of our time. Che was a totalitarian. He achieved nothing but disaster. Many of the early leaders of the Cuban Revolution favored a democratic or democratic-socialist direction for the new Cuba. But Che was a mainstay of the hardline pro-Soviet faction, and his faction won. Che presided over the Cuban Revolution's first firing squads. He founded Cuba's "labor camp" system—the system that was eventually employed to incarcerate gays, dissidents, and AIDS victims. To get himself killed, and to get a lot of other people killed, was central to Che's imagination. In the famous essay in which he issued his ringing call for "two, three, many Vietnams," he also spoke about martyrdom and managed to compose a number of chilling phrases: "Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is what our soldiers must become …"— and so on. He was killed in Bolivia in 1967, leading a guerrilla movement that had failed to enlist a single Bolivian peasant. And yet he succeeded in inspiring tens of thousands of middle class Latin-Americans to exit the universities and organize guerrilla insurgencies of their own. And these insurgencies likewise accomplished nothing, except to bring about the death of hundreds of thousands, and to set back the cause of Latin-American democracy—a tragedy on the hugest scale. The present-day cult of Che—the T-shirts, the bars, the posters—has succeeded in obscuring this dreadful reality. And Walter Salles' movie The Motorcycle Diaries will now take its place at the heart of this cult. It has already received a standing ovation at Robert Redford's Sundance film festival (Redford is the executive producer of The Motorcycle Diaries) and glowing admiration in the press. Che was an enemy of freedom, and yet he has been erected into a symbol of freedom. He helped establish an unjust social system in Cuba and has been erected into a symbol of social justice. He stood for the ancient rigidities of Latin-American thought, in a Marxist-Leninist version, and he has been celebrated as a free-thinker and a rebel. And thus it is in Salles' Motorcycle Diaries. " I kind of hope you know this about him and you were being sarcastic when you said Che will be in our hearts... 99.999% likely you don't and you will have to just end your life for being so stupid.
