If I build a scrypt rig that mines litecoin, and then I add a butterfly lab 600 GH card, will that rig be able to mine both bitcoin AND litecoin?
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I never saw a mixed pool, LTC + BTC  Grin
IMO you will able to mine only one type of coin at time.

You'll need to run two types/instances of your miner programs.

DualMiners mine both coins simultaneously this way.

DualMiners mine both coins simultaneously this way.

I heard that those DualMiners ASICs are not working good for sha256+scrypt mining at the same time.
