I think the only real solution is to burn a considerable amount, lets say 80 Million, after which only 15 million will be left over for distribution. The devs could keep a significant amount, lets say 5 mil, to fund future development.
Ideas?
I too think this is a pretty good idea

I too think this is a pretty good idea The dev seems open to ideas. Do a thorough analysis and then post. The team hasn't had much time to think about distribution. Come back with historical examples and maybe you can change devs mind. Talking like this doesn't help cuz all investors want less supply lol

Agreed, I would have purchased more if the distribution wasn't so rediculous, Same. In fact I bought into the ICO thinking the total supply was the amount that was being sold in the ICO (I know, my mistake). But I am so far impressed by the devs responsiveness and receptiveness, they are definitely aware of our concerns. Let's wait and see what happens. Either way I am very optimistic about this project, I remember reading about it when I first joined BCT in early 2014 and I'm happy to see it is starting to come to fruition.

Hmm yeah the distribution and Dev share is a bit on the high side. I'm sure the devs are considering something though.

Is it possible to clone? Surely people will just release the same product with more adoptable distribution?

I'd be surprised if Poloniex listed it with a question mark over the remaining 95% of the supply being in the dev's control regardless of the longevity and validity of the project. Exactly, I've read everything that the dev has said in this thread recently but nothing he said really gives an excuse for this. Distribution should be a priority or the whole project just looks incompetent, the more people find out about the coin while the distribution is basically non existent, the more people will lose interest in the project simply because they have no access to the coins at a normal price, knowing that devs are holding 95% of the supply and the coin has already been in development for 3.5 years. I love this coin, 3.5 Years of development, that is good but distribution cannot be the same, you are confusing the economy for no reason and there will always be a big question mark above this project. I have traded cryptos on this forum for about 4 years now and this is one of the worst distributions I've ever seen, putting a huge stain on its amazing tech, there is no excuse for this. We are talking about distribution in the telegram chat, it would be great if all the community members could jump in. It's all to play for - the correct distribution has to occur though for the network to remain decentralized. So far there is no common solution to distribution problems. There is no POW or POS in relation to this coin, so it has to be taken with a gentle approach. So I invite anyone to come in and talk about the distribution model because the community can really help with this. https://t.me/Skycoin

What's wrong with good ol' IRC? This is what OP used 2 years ago... Anyone can login, use VPN, no need for ID or phone verification, from any device. It has DM, sharing, logs... Everything. It might be old tech, but it works great. It worked great for every coin that was geek oriented (in contrast to hype oriented).
