Scam nowadays are famous there's a lot of ICO's are coming. I think we cannot stop scam ico's immediately but we can avoid it. Before joining the project do your research, deep research if the project is legit and avoid also suspicious ICO's.

I suppose that it is not easy to stop ICO scams. The only way to reduce risk is just identify which ICO is scam. I have some that could share with you guys. Firstly be careful enough to do a background check on the members of the team and find if they had strong track record and reputation in the roles. Secondly, pay attention to the language and focus of the white paper and I would like you to pay attention to the overall feeling you get after reading the whitepaper. And maybe there are more you can find in this forum.

Let ICO holders automatically send coins to your Ethereum wallet just after receiving your Ethereum

Just like, betrium.co is doing.

KYC is really useless for crypto currency traders.
It's useless imo, i mean, yes you received your tokens from the ICO but if the project owner choose to abandon their project and run out after they receive the money from the investor, the tokens you received become useless and have no price. You can't even sell your tokens from the ICO.

You have to do a very good research to stop the ICO fraud. Once you have read and understood the project content, you can buy it. Who did the ICO come from? they are very important.

That's no way to protect us from the scam. If the developers are not responsible for their product to the users then they can make a fork of the finished coin and issue for their own. Automatic sending of tokens does not solve the problem scam

Yeah it's so simple. If they really are scammers they'll scam us no matter what it takes just to make their plan work. We know it's easy to be look like a legit one yet you're just hiding in a mask. And there's no way to stop them and actually this is all will start in ourselves for being knowledgeable and keen observant.

Investing in ICOs is a risky thing. There is nothing to be certain about the amount of money you invest in will not be fooled, the issue of trust will be on top. So investing in ICO, you have to take into account risks, not just profit.

In my opinion fraud ICO will not stop unless there will be some regulatory bodies to set the ICO that is not possible since cryptocurrency is assets decentralized, the only thing that you can do is make your own research in each ICO you want to participate to ensure that you will not be deceived. Don't let others give you a suggestion ICO, know their own and you will never be deceived. It's a good way.

we can not do anything against ICO that ends with a scam. because we only act as participants. maybe the bounty manager is supposed to analyze an ICO before being shared on this forum

In my opinion there should be a topic popular on this forum, talk about scam ICO projects. I think that makes ICO projects scams very scary when they appear on the forum, so we will be less likely to make mistakes when investing in them.

I think we can help stop scam ico by spreading the word and letting everyone knows that this certain ico is a scam. Spreading the word helps potential investors to rethink or not investing at all to these certain ico's. Always be cautious when planning to invest on any ico, always do background checks.
