Great investment idea. Waves and XRP are all great coins to invest for a long term. The waves will likely be more in value than XRP within a period of 6 months. Waves seems to be volatile than XRP and hence , the value of waves moves higher than XRP.

I agree that waves is better than XRP. Well, I just don't like that XRP is being a centralized coin, but of course these two coin be great in the future. If i have to spend my $10k for sure I will never forget to hold bitcoin and eth and the rest, I will choose great altcoins  to hold for in long term.

Put the fifty percent on ethereum, and spread the rest over ripple, neo, ada, ont, and a few other coins that you feel confident about, maybe that is the best way to increase your entire budget in four to ten months maybe.

Waves is a good coins and have a high value than ripple. IT is best to spend more on waves than XRP. Waves has a smart contract and the fees that is generated will make your investment increase.

I feel really bad about those picks. I would keep a part of my investment portfolio in Bitcoin first and foremost then diversify into altcoins. This way, if Bitcoin explodes, your altcoin losses will be balanced out by your bitcoin gains. This is advantageous because even if that happens, altcoins are inherently tied to bitcoin's success and in one way or another, an increase in bitcoin value will also translate into increases in altcoin values (although smaller).

For altcoins, i would invest in Ethereum and NEO.

I admire waves and ripple because both are potential coins and have some future but like you have already said, there are coins which are far better and beyond these two in terms of profits and the first priority should be bitcoin. Only bitcoin can make a person rich in true sense. All other altcoins just give a little financial support. If not BTC, then he should go for BCH or litecoin. These have better future predictions.

I have ripple coin and waves too, and I think after few years the price become very high like 100 dollars each , 10,000 dollars for this coin once this increase for sure you will gain more profit and possible you will become millionaire because the price is of ripple is $1 and you buy $5000 and that's 5000 ripple and once become 100 dollars it's 5 million dollars.

I wouldn't be buying just 2 coins with $10k and I wouldn't be buying Waves or Ripples, Waves has potential but I've got confidence in others, Ripple on the other hand I'm not that fond of, forgetting the "I don't like this coin!" side of things, I just don't see big gains on it.

I would go something like this

$2000 BTC
$2000 Eth
$2000 NEO
$2000 Ark
$2000 Neblio

Mix of risk and stability in that, if one goes 5x and the rest fail, you've at least covered your investment, I would expect an average return of at least 5x with the above list and decent security, better gains and better security than your current decision.

I would give a very different list if you wanted to take more risk, Neblio would be on any list I give though, perfect balance of risk to gain in my eyes

At least these coins are solid and you can trust them, I would not suggest new coins, old ones are less risky and less hyped. I think with this portfolio you can make satisfactory gains.

I cant see BTC, Eth, and NEO in your list. I don't think that investing 5000 USD in Ripple is a good idea. Do some more research before you invest your 10,000 USD, select coins with a solid background.

For me, I suggest you invest some of that money in bitcoin and ethereum as they have the potential to yield huge profit and they are also stable and safer. After that you can then decide to invest n altcoin of interest. Ripple and waves are good and potential coin to invest in because of their stability.

At $ 10000, I would pick the bitcoin down below $ 7k to buy the bitcoin, then use that bitcoin to buy ETH, XRP, and NEO. This altcoin is great for long term investment and you can also use ETH and NEO to invest in more ICO projects, which is a great choice that you should consider. Having a portfolio without bitcoin is like there's something inadequate. I wouldn't be the same with those people that has 100% altcoins on their stash.

Well, if that so I agree on investing in ripple but personally I do not like waves since it seems like they are getting late with the trend better go with eth. Currently if you will take a look on the market even btc is down eth is not that affected and it is definitely good for long term wherein if you want to invest to ico's you can immediately invest by using it.

Well, you and the adventurer, such amounts in ripple. It might be better to look for a couple more of the coins, or losses, or at least stagnation in the price, are inevitable. Revise your portfolio until the market is on the recovery path.
