Ready Player One! Not just because it's a Spielberg movie, but it's a thrill ride. If you're a fan of VR, you'll love this. Plus, it's quite exciting to watch a futuristic film that many people are saying is a glimpse of the future. What would our version of Oasis be like though?

Pretty cool movie! I regret not watching it right away!

edit:

here are a few that some of you might find interesting

The Raid
Chasing the Dragon
I Saw the Devil
The Chaser
Memories of Murder

I just figured it'd be fun to start a thread to recommend movies to one another. With that said, feel free to share the good (and bad) stuff you've seen lately and if you want a recommendation, ask away!

As for me, I watched Prisoners recently and was pleasantly surprised. It's a very heavy film, but both Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal were amazing in their performances. Very well-written script, too.

Have at it!

Try a great movie call Raees it is a Hindi movie

I was just about to post about Prisoners and I searched to see if any others have mentioned it and surprise surprise it's in the very original post of the thread. It's probably one of the best films I've seen in a while. I loved the director's other films Sicario and Arrival so started looking into his back catalogue and this and Enemy stood out -- which also stars Jake Gyllenhaal. I didn't like Enemy at all and thought it was a bit pretentious and confusing, but Prisoners completely different. It's a long film but kept me hooked throughout and didn't see the twists coming.

I also watched Sicario 2, but it has a new director. It was decent but doesn't compare to the original but I'm glad it looks like they're making a third one as well as I like Benico Del Toro's character and you could probably make an entire series about him alone.
