It's no wonder that one by one they started to ban cyrpto related ads. At one time this got banned and then they were just following others, I think.
Above all, not everything are bad news, there are also good news. And it says : most likely “temporary”. We'll see about that.

I was on real estate website magicbricks.com and I searched for "panvel navi mumbai". Next day when I was on other websites, I was getting google ads for "magicbricks panvel properties". The same happened to me after my search on amazon.com for chairs, clothes etc..

Yes, they track you through cookies. If you have a Google account logged in, they also track all of your Google searches and pretty much all of your activity on any and all Google owned services. They do say they don't track any personally identifiable information though, but it's up to you if you believe that or not. The simplest way to avoid this tracking is to use incognito browsers and not log in on any Google service or Facebook.

But yeah, quit hating on Bing guys. Haven't you watched The Amazing Spider-man? Spider-man uses Bing, and he's supposed to be quite a genius lmao. Jokes aside, it doesn't matter to Bitcoin in the grand scheme of things. This move comes with positives, such as less exposure for scam ICOs and phishing wallets. I welcome it.

99% or more of the ads were scams, shitcoins and shitty ICOs, so I can kinda understand why they did it.

and we can attribute scammers to the blame for Crypto-Related ads being banned, how any company would be happy to see scammers stealing millions of dollars from innocent people and the worst is that there were few cases where scammers were found and arrested? so the only one measure that could be implemented to contain the number of scam was this "ban Crypto-Related Ads"

I wish they would just spend more resources on weeding out all the bad actors instead of a blanket ban on crypto though.

I doubt it was possible to do this, the scammers are very intelligent, they daily improve their scam skills

It is not a new thing, all they want to do is to stop scammers from advertising their platform to collect money and for that they are banning everything related to crypto, facebook and twitter did that and it does not mean that they are against bitcoin, they just want to protect their users by not falling for the scams.

I wonder if this will be another excuse for a sell off in cryptocurrencies. Nothing really special happened with the other add bans (facebook, twitter, google), so nothing will happen with this one again. I mean who uses bing anyway? I'm really curious to see if people learned anything from the past, or if another FUD will hit us.

This can of course affect ICOs, I wont argue with that, but it shouldn't affect bitcoin in any possible way.

It will be another big bad news for everyone who involved with the crypto world. As we are seeing many good predictions for the month of July and August but if it will happen then the crypto market may again go down! At first facebook, Then google and now Bing-Yahoo! According to the statement, the main reason for the company’s decision to ban “advertising for cryptocurrency” and “cryptocurrency related products” is the current unregulated status of cryptocurrencies, which allegedly increases risk for Bing’s users:

    “Because cryptocurrency and related products are not regulated, we have found them to present a possible elevated risk to our users with the potential for bad actors to participate in predatory behaviors, or otherwise scam consumers.”

As the report further says, Bing Ads tool plans to fully implement the ban worldwide between June until early July.

Bing’s crypto ads ban is the latest move in a search engine and social media crypto-boycott, initiated by Facebook in late January of this year. Google announced an analogous crypto ad ban in mid-March, and Twitter confirmed its own ban soon after.

Last week, multiple mainstream media outlets reported that Facebook is reportedly “exploring” the launch of its own cryptocurrency.

Earlier in April, the co-founder of LinkedIn told Cointelegraph that the recent crypto ad bans are, in his opinion, most likely “temporary” and due to the current absence of clear crypto market regulations.

For me it is fine since there should be a place for investors to see those crypto-related ads like ICO reviews. It is better and less annoying for some people that are not into cryptos. There is a reason why people hate it because of unlimited number of crypto ads that seems not getting their interest.

The social media giants are showing their unity against cryptocurrency; I won't surprise if Yahoo and Quora follow the same. Cryptocurrencies are not regulated and the social media giants found a possible elevated risk to their users' this is the main reason for banning cryptocurrency and related products from the advertisement platform. Why am I not surprised about it. Bill Gates made a negative statement about Bitcoins a few days ago and it did make an impact and since I think he really wants Bitcoin to go down he followed what Twitter and Google did a few months ago and that is to dis-allow ads from Cryptocurrencies. Only difference is Twitter and Google are on top of the food chain when it comes to traffic so placing ads in those social media site will really make an impact. However Bing is not at the same level with Twitter and Google.

It's just a legal issue. All these ICO scams can create liability problems for big companies, that's why google, FB, twitter etc. already banned it.

That could be a good news and could be a bad news for windows users. According to netmarket share, Internet explorer is still own the 12% of the market. I think that is because it is the default browser of the windows pc. And since windows pc dominate the households and universities or some offices, they could get that kind of utilization. But if they tend to block those crypto related ads, I think the chance of blocking those ads will not greatly effect the users. Or if the worst came, those loyal users of bing will definitely switch to other browser which could be firefox, safari or chrome which dominate at 60% market share.  On the other hand, some people don't really been bombarded by ads. I even get irritated sometimes when ads pops.

The search engine Bing can already be seen as a response to the FB and twitter banning of ICO ads, and perhaps the social media giants have unlocked their ideas and won't allow ICO ads to spread freely on their media platforms. In the short term, this may lead to a decrease in traffic in the encrypted community, but in the long run it will be beneficial to the standard development of the community.

These are the compromises you have to do when you are using things for free, they track everything and even sell your private details to advertisers always protect your privacy using proxy or VPN to avoid these tracking and never use the same proxy to log into your social network sites which literally negates the steps you take.
Who cares if these social networking and search engine sites ban the advertising, the only thing affected will be new ICO and they have enough platform to advertise their product.

This is not unusual, as other big media outlets have banned the use of advertisements in cryptocurrency markets.
So Microsoft's prohibition is normal.

I have seen so many news regarding about this issue but it does not happen, first facebook issue was they are going to banned advertisement of ICO's and also google, many have said that they are also going to ban crypto related news, and now bing? How does it come? to OP, do you really believe on that kind of fraudulent news? even thou they ban crypto related ads on google,facebook,bing and any other social medias they cannot stop cryptocurrency. this is a fraudulent news. i'm not too similar use bing even to access search engine and i was more likely to use google but i wasn't surprise about this banning because basically they want to protect people from scam cryptocurrencies but not just like other giant sites such as facebook or google i think bing decission won't have any effect for development of cryptocurrencies
