There is no fee when you are receiving a payment on Coinbase, you are used with Xapo I guess. On the other side, there are fees for sending a transaction of ~0.0005 BTC no matter the amount of bitcoin you are sending

There are no transaction fee in coinbase to coinbase (Mail to mail) but if you use Bitcoin address then you need a charge.last time when i made a transaction it takes about .0008 BTC from my balance. But i think its good fees for making a bitcoin transacton. without good fees your transaction can't compleat in right time.It may delay for a long time.So every time try to make higher transaction fees.

That is the reason why I'm advocating for merchants and I use coinbase wallets too so that we can be buying items using bitcoins off chain and paying no transaction fees. It completely eliminates slow confirmation and huge fees.

As users above said, there are no fee for receiving bitcoins. And fees for sending bitcoins depends on network conditions. Last time when I sent bitcoins from Coinbase, 0.0005 btc were deducted as fee, but transaction was quite slow. Sometimes I'm missing custom fees function on Coinbase.

There is no transaction fee for sending and receiving BTC in coinbase to coinbase. But If you want to send BTC coinbase to another wallet so you have to pay network fee. And it's value $2 Dollars.
