I didn't know they wanted details of everything you own.

Please assess the value of all your non-financial and financial assets, minus the value of all your outstanding liabilities.

Does that question mean they want the value of your house and car included in the total figure?

Touche, abracadabra.

It seems that Bitstamp is in the process of exit-scamming me/holding my money hostage indefinitely. Same thing.

No response from them. I will have to locate them and serve them legal papers. It's all I can do.

Meanwhile have you seen the co-founder's instagram, Damijan Merlak? He sold out his 30% stake and is basically living every computer nerd's lambo dreams in various exotic destinations.

With the new KYC - asking for your birth certificate ?! - I think bitstamp is in for an exit scam. Avoid, there's other better exchanges

That's just Bitstamp being Bitstamp Wink They were the first to start coming up with the most unreasonable of demands when it comes to KYC.

Unfortunately similar behaviours have become a not uncommon practice.

To enliven the topic a little with news, Bitstamp has opened deposits for the EURT stablecoin from Tether with 1:1 euro collateral against the background of high customer demand. https://blog.bitstamp.net/post/bitstamp-to-list-the-first-mainstream-euro-pegged-stablecoin-eurt/

I have been trying to reach BitStamp to unfreeze my account/funds for months now with no success.
They asked for "additional" proof of address (provided already few months back and approved) and this review is pending forever as it seems.

There are thousands of people like me as it seems. Luckily I do not have big amounts stuck.
Tried to call their international numbers in UK and Lux ... You get just automatic machine wich hangs on you.
Answers on support sends generic emails ...etc ...

This if not exit scam is huge RED FLAG.
I think people can say bye to their funds and start with class action lawsuit in UK/EU, and privately.

If I ever bump into Damian Merlak & Nejc Kodric (Slovenian founders) on Adriatic coast  I will chop their head off ! AMEN
