What it leaves you is with 0.2%-0.3% of your funds. Thats not such a big deal when everything else works. It will be fixed

It is a big deal depending on how much money you are transacting.
Lack of communication is not helping either.

Your mileage may vary.

Does anyone have an ideea if I withdraw usd from bitstamp into my EUR account, it should get credited, right?

Also, "Waiting to be processed" means the wire hasn't actually left bitstamp?

hi nottorious91,
If you withdraw usd to your euro account it will be credited, your bank will do the exchange.
"Waiting to be processed" means that it has not left bitstamp yet. In my case over the last months, the status usually moves from "Waiting to be processed" to "Finished" within 24 hours. And then you only have to wait less than a week for it to arrive in your account (for an international transfer, SEPA might be even faster).

Thanks for the reply. I hope my SEPA withdraw will arrive monday / tuesday.

I must say that my recent experience has been similar. No crediting of bank wire deposits for 4 days now, and of course.... no customer service. With basically non-existant service you have to wonder how bitstamp will be able to survive. On the positive side: bitcoin withdrawals now finally work quickly.

Can anyone recommend any other EU exchange apart from Sh*tstamp? As soon as my SEPA transfer I made on 18th gets credited, I'm going to kiss Bitstamp a permanent goodbye. In the spring my account got robbed and I lost about 2000 euros because Bitstamp doesn't offer two-factor auth for Nokias and has otherwise fairly easily crackable security.

Now they first made a post about banking software issues on 18th, although some people have said to wire money to them on 12th and still not getting credited. Then their page page goes down for several days and there is not a single f'ing post from the staff posted on social media about what's going on untill they report "everything is fixed, but the standard banking processing". How about some estimates on how long the standard banking transfer will take to process?? It has now been two days since they made that post and my account hasn't still been credited.

The way they run their "customer service", if you can call it that, is just... I don't even know that call it. It's something I want to have nothing to do with.

Bitcoin-central.net (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=129461.680) could be an alternative, however the backlog for document verification is quite high at the moment. On a positive note, when I told them that I had been waiting for verification for 20 days, they escalated the issue to their partner and I got verified straight away (IIRC the next day).

Also there are no charting facilities at the moment, so you would be trading blind.

It's just passed 65 Hours and my 400 USD funds WERE NOT CREDITED, no response from tickets or emails.. The only thing you guys are REALLY DEALING with is something on automated mode, if you run any trouble with the payment (LIKE I DID), you'll get no response for DAYS, and might lose a lot of money...

400 USD may not seem that much, but it's prevented me from funding a lot more.. If bitstamp checked my account history they would see that i fund like 2,000.00 USD per day on a regular basis..

It's too much disrespect for people who gave money to them!

posted already in the newbie section, but did not get an answer (wow, a déjà vu)

yesterday:
I have made a SEPA deposit of €2.1k on November 18, and three 4-figure deposits on November 20.
The November 20 deposits all got credited within the same day! But the oldest (and largest) deposit, from november 18, is still missing. How is that possible?
I sent a ticket more than 20 hours ago - no reply. Is somebody from bitstamp here, who could look into this??

what also looks weird... is this normal?

Account -> History says: 2013-11-18 14:25:01   [IP-Address]   Opened SEPA deposit for EUR 2,100.00
but Deposits -> Your Deposit Requests says: Nov. 18, 2013   EU bank transfer (SEPA)   EUR 2,100.00   Finished

how can it be "Finished" when the money has not been credited yet??? it is also not shown in Account -> Transactions
and why do friends of mine asking senseless questions about depositing or buying bitcoins, get replies within 4-5 hours??

today:
ok i'm getting mad

WHERE IS THE PROBLEM TO REPLY WITHIN 40!! HOURS?? U EARN SOME 10 or 100K PER DAY. EMPLOY MORE SUPPORT STAFF U GREEDY ****** ********!!   Angry

AND SEND ME MY MONEY!

Not exactly happy long-term customer here as well.

According to my bank, my non-trivial transfer went out from their side about a week ago. Still no deposit on bitstamp :/

Not sure which Bitcoin wallet you should use? Get Electrum!
Electrum is an open-source lightweight client: fast, user friendly, and 100% secure.
Download the source or executables for Windows/OSX/Linux/Android from, and only from, the official Electrum homepage.

I have noticed that even Bitstamp's one man customer service (hazek) has now apparently disappeared from this Forum. That bodes ill for the future of Bitstamp. Perhaps Bitstamp is planning to go out of business and take off with everyone's money??

No I don't think so!

Maybe "they" are busy working off the backlog. Some transactions come through, some does not. This is no scheme for manipulation!

If some members are able to buy even though they deposited later and earlier depositors are unable to buy, some members have an unfair advantage. This stinks.  Angry

when did you made your deposit? i made mine on 17.November

Alot of people are still affected by your banking issues Hazek!

There is a huge difference between people who are just waiting a few days longer for their deposit to arrive and people who are waiting for their deposit to arrive beeing completely left in the dark about it!

Inform your customers and be clear about such important things or you are on the best way to Mt.Gox 2.0.
