Site extremely slow again.

How is the situation re: server upgrades?

Not sure which Bitcoin wallet you should use? Get Electrum!
Electrum is an open-source lightweight client: fast, user friendly, and 100% secure.
Download the source or executables for Windows/OSX/Linux/Android from, and only from, the official Electrum homepage.

update:
received the money, and an answer from mr. kodric personally ...

Dear XXX,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter.

According to our logs your transfer arrived, was processed and your funds added to your account.

If you should have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

Best regards,
Nejc Kodrič

You created a normal ticket ?
yes
actually 2 normal tickets (the second about 4 hours after the first one, because they updated that the software problem has been resolved, and all my other deposits except the oldest one arrived, and many here posted that they got credited, so that seemed weird to me. but not sure whether its advantageous to send several tickets or rather leads to the exact opposite - getting to the end of the line again) and a mail to info@bitstamp but never got a reply there obv.

...

So I would suggest that those who a) shout SCAMMERS and b) signed up about on here a week ago STFU. Complaining about sub-optimal service is one thing, running around like a headless chicken is something different.

...

Seriously man, you must be high, lost your mind or something else ...

Letting people wait for 2 weeks (!) and stating that everything is OK and all transactions are processed when they aren't... how would you call that than ?

Things would be really different if:
- they replied to tickets
- didn't say 'everything is OK'
- reply to social media/mails

Pick any of the above ...

Very good point. They claim that all transactions have been processed. Yet judging from the comments here and my own experience, this is obviously not true. So they are either (a) lying, or (b) incompetent. I don't know which is worse.

hazek, Nejc, and other guys from bitstamp,

Since Nov 12th, I'm still waiting for a wire transfer of $21,000  to appear on my bank account. Is there a chance to order an investigation or ask your bank to check on this? I agree to pay all the fees required etc.. Nobody seems to answer my support ticket on this matter....

The recent lack of communication from Bitstamp's side is really worrying. For some reason my IP has been banned for over a week and there has been no response from customer support regarding this. I have to access using a VPN and for what I'm reading now deposits and withdrawals are going Gox way. Not good.

Update:

it's been 90 HOURS I deposited 400 USD, USING ASTROPAY, and BITSTAMP still didn't fund it, or replied to my tickets or emails..

Everyday I wake up and check if:

- My MONEY GOT FUNDED
- THEY REPLIED TO MY TICKETS.

I have already made 3,050 USD AFTER that incident, and they are WORKING.

But my 400 USD is still missing.

Has anyone succeed in withdrawing fiat or depositing BTC lately? I'm wondering why the price difference with MtGox has mostly disappeared while that with btce has grown enormously. Obviously there is no arbitrage going on, so I'm wondering which pipes are clogged.

ROI is not a verb, the term you're looking for is 'to break even'.

My SEPA withdrawal took only 3 days like usual.

"Funny" how bitstamp started being unresponsive 5 minutes before rates dropped. It's hopeless to get current market price not to mention to sell some coins for it. Reminds me a lot of Mt. Gox.

it´s gone???   Shocked

The website was down for ~15 minutes. No big deal at other fields but really annoying and costfull when it happens to exchanges for a pretty volatile new currency.

I don't really know an answer to your question above but have you considerd trying you ID-Card or your passport?

finally i got it! i filled just filled in some future date and informed the support.
i think i had something to do with bitstamps off-time. -new/refreshed formula data wasnt transmitted, or something.

concerning the possible "down", it seems like DDOS for me. but the API seems to work fine^^
more and more voices get louder, if these down-time are somehow a product of the page itself, trying to get somehow a profit. -even if not, it is quite bad for such site not to be -always available-, or having a big enough infrastructure for its number of daily customers.

...but it is just the childhhod of the coins... so let see how it will mature

The prices on the webpage are lagging behind the real time prices. API shows them correctly but the site lags.
