I've been waiting on a withdrawal for almost a week now. WTH is going on?

I have had no problems with fiat withdrawals in the last week.

Just today only with BTC deposits and withdrawals.

I asked this to the bitstamp support but still get no answer. Does anybody know if it matters if you have sent cash from your own banc account to stamp and now you want to sent cash from somebody else´s banc account to stamp?

After 8 hours my BTC just popped into my balance account.I never experienced this kind of delay with Bitstamp till now tho I use their service for long time. Thanks to this delay I lost money. I expect at least a public statement when their service is fully functional and working again, to let other people know its safe to resume trading. Not a very happy customer atm.

And I also tested a new BTC withdrawal and that works at normal speed now.

Is anyone having problems with USD withdrawals?

I keep getting error:

Oops!
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.

It might be just me, though., since I used Bitstamp SEPA to pay for a computer part online in June ( around 200 USD). I think third party withdrawals were allowed at that time.

Now I want to withdraw to my own address and I keep getting this error. What should I do?

BTC withdrawals working and no, I won't be testing BTC deposits any time soon. Site is still unbearably laggy and next to useless when there's something going on on the market. I've (hopefully) moved to greener pastures.

Unless you closed your account like me. I think that might have something to do with why I've been waiting a week to get my bitcoins from them.

Why would I do that? It's easier to get back there trading with already activated account. That probably won't happen, but why would I close that option?

Yo Bitstamp, are you gonna help this guy out, or what?

I want to buy some coins on the cheap, but I will not wire any money to an exchange that keeps (ex-)customers hanging like this...

Why did you even tryv to close your account before withdrawing all your coins?

I had to. They changed their TOS without notifying my about their new verification requirements for withdrawals. I can't provide them with what they need, so the only way to get my funds is to close my account.

They sent this a week ago:

Hi, any reply to several depth/trade api questions previously asked in this thread earlier?

Apologies for not addressing this sooner. Certain requests on our API were restricted due to abuse, currently GET https://www.bitstamp.net/api/transactions/ syntax is as follows:

Transactions

GET https://www.bitstamp.net/api/transactions/

Params:

time - time frame for transaction export ("minute" - 1 minute, "hour" - 1 hour, "day" - 1 day). Default: hour.

Returns descending JSON list of transactions. Every transaction (dictionary) contains:

date - unix timestamp date and time
    tid - transaction id
    price - BTC price
    amount - BTC amount

The available transaction history is thereby limited to the last 24hours. We are working to make a file available for download for the rest of transaction history.

i'm still waiting for a download for the complete transactions history. the current transactions API is way too limited.

I never used Bitstamp but I am about to fund (USD wire, not EUR sepa) my verified account at Bitstamp.

Could a kind soul (Bitstamp's client) tell me:

- how long (in days) it takes to get USD credited in a Bitstamp account (money will be sent from an EU bank)?

- how Bitstamp compares to MtGox (execution speed, client service, withdrawals, others)

- are there any known issues that Bitstamp's client should be aware (you know every company has its peculiarities)?

Thanks

Thanks

1. never more than 48h (usually around 24h)
2. execution speed is worse than Gox, but I find it acceptable; client service is decent, was better when they had lower volume, withdrawals and deposits via SEPA (EUR) take usually 24h.
3. they used to have API problems (not sending orderbook, bad lag... now it seems it has improved)

EDIT: QT Bitcoin Trader is a good tool to use at Bitstamp.
