Hi folks,

Imagine a computer with two 1070Ti. it works fine for ZEC (on suprnova) and works fine for ZEN (on suprnova)

What I'm curious about is what happens when I open 2 miner.exe for two different currency (ZEN and ZEC) on same pool (suprnova) - meaning 2 different command windows.

I tried it and looks like working. Both pool panel shows some hashrate. I don't specify any specific cuda device for miner.exe(s) as parameter. both program configured to use all available GPU devices.

Why I'm doing this ? because lately I started to mine BTCP. sometimes I get 2MH sometimes 0.9MH. My intention was filling unused GPU power with secondary currency mining.

I'm pretty sure my logic is somehow wrong but can someone explain to me what happens in this scenario ? is it better to use 2 miner.exe each configured to use single GPU ? (one mining ZEN on GPU0, other mining ZEC on GRU1) or my scenario is better ? (one mines ZEC useing all GPUs, other mines ZEN using all GPUs)

any thoughts ?

best.

You will lost some hash power, but will work.

basically I don't seem get the logic behind mining on a different types of coin in a single GPU, as per stated above, you will lose your true hash on a given algo or worst will not hash

is it better to use 2 miner.exe each configured to use single GPU ? (one mining ZEN on GPU0, other mining ZEC on GRU1)

This should do it, I also use two instance of miner

one for AMD, and another for NVIDIA in a single rig

works flawlessly

wonder why I did this thing? AMD has a better coin to mine, this is also true with NVIDIA's
