Just realised that I did somethng very stupid, I thought that the number 1MHiYYKmXJPLhbEq2oihAHaHHmwveSm8bU at the bottom of my account page was my address for payment and saved that as for the automatic payment.
I realise now that its not mine and I just sent them over 10BTC, is there any way that I can undo this?
If you check back in this thread, Tycho mentioned that it was meant for donations to the pool (IIRC), so I assume he has some control over it. You could ask him nicely (and perhaps also mention that it may be a little confusing and that he should perhaps clarify what that address is for Wink).

Oh, and it's not just on your account page, it's on every deepbit page whether you're logged in or not, so that should really have been a hint.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Thanks

That it was on every page and then when I logged out was the trigger.........  Then I started looking around about addresses
I'll pm tycho very nicely and negotiate something hopefully.

If you didn't switch to other pools and just accepted the downtime, then yes your payment would be lower than normal.

+1 I have this same error today after reboot.
I ran an older version 20110215, it has earned.

PS: Sorry for my English language.

It is a bug in Phoenix; however, it is triggered by something that deepbit.net changed recently [and I believe BTCMine has done the same].

Is the pool still under attack? I'm using the latest guiminer and am still getting the following errors:

Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC

"long poll exception" is expected to happen today and is not harmful.
Currently long poll connection is broken every 5 minutes, this causes miner to show the error.
It won't affect your mining, you just may get a little bit more stales.

For me at least, this is not occurring once per five minutes - it's occurring continuously on the machine's I've restarted today.  Those still running from before yesterday are fine.

Currently there is a little problem with DiabloMiner, it triggers the DDoS protection. Will be fixed when i'll change the protection type.
Other miners will work.

I should add that I'm using poclbm, and getting the same error reported above (Long poll exception...No JSON object could be decoded), on every work unit, on each machine which has been restarted today.

Tycho,

I have been following this thread pretty closely since I thought about mining and there was never a choice to be made when I had to choose a pool. You have a great system, you handle things quickly and in a fair manner (I remember reading about the 150 BTC you refunded).

Since the DDOS, the miners I have running on a LinuxCoin distro (using phoenix), randomly stop/disconnect, no error messages nothing. There was no issues before the DDOS, and subsequent fix(es). Is there something I need to change on my end to fix this? This kills almost a 1Gh/s for me at a time and I need to find a fix.

Thanks
Fiyasko
