Any chance we might soon get charts showing our daily BTC? The rolling total at the bottom of the stats page always changes, so it is not a good indicator of daily BTC.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

How does the manager of a private team invite, choose, or otherwise allow specific members to join? Maybe I'm missing something simple, but I can't figure it out.

What's the function of team in Deepbit? Is it just for fun? Or does it help with mining?

There will be two ways for you:
1) Kick/Ban all other members of your team, then leave (the team will be deleted).
2) Delegate your leader rights to some other member of your team.

I'll deploy those functions soon. You'll have to know e-mail address of the new team leader to add him because nicknames are not unique.

I think the pool hoppers are back.   Sad

My payout variance has been too high lately. Also I noticed by scanning their bithopper forum post that they seem to have found a way to hop here and at BTC Guild.

I did not spend too much time reading, but seems maybe they are using lp data and irc postings to determine when to hop.

I think slush is not effected as they have a different method for paying (as in you have to stay pretty much for the whole block).

Quite possibly; I noticed the weird swings in pool rates too over the past 24 hours.

You mean this...

This LP "who solved the block" procedure exploits an assumption, that a pool that finds a block will be sending notifications to miners earlier than other pools. This may not always be correct.

And it's a HUGE assumption and from the thread so far I've been reading, it's generally inaccurate.  So I'm not too worried.

Cheers,
Kermee

I think that some hoppers are there and I'm working on some special routines, related to this problem.
But this should NOT affect your variance, it will only affect total pool's luck. As you may see, it's still good at this moment.

why can you say that so confidently? i was going to type up a long post but i thought the burden of explaining your statement
should come first before i try to refute it.

I would expect that coming from a hopper. I read through your forum posts.

Even Tycho thinks there are hoppers hopping in and out of Deepbit.

-- In regards to bitcoinpool.com in a pool hopper thread...

I know, thats why I want so bad to find a solution to their new pool hopping protection so badly.  They just started with it yesterday.  By sheer coincidence no one minded at all because yesterday they were extremely lucky and found like 6 blocks so constantly mining on them was actually a benefit and cherrypicker probably would have done it anyway.

Cheers,
Kermee
