why not? as far as I concern, one block-chain application is the smart-contract which allow all members involved get to know all details of the contract. What's more is the trading process is 100% automatically non-human. It guarantees the transparency and movement of goods.

Oh really? Do you even know what is supply chain? Because no money is involved in. It's about operations management, logistics etc (supply chain management (SCM), the management of the flow of goods and services,[2] involves the movement and storage of raw materials, of work-in-process inventory, and of finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption)

The blockchain technology is already in use for the supply chain. The defense military is already using it, mainly to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency in logistic.
