Don't forget that you can earn hourly MOON on https://cryptodatabase.net

I have supported Mooncoin for a long time now and will always support it. It's price may be low right now but it is one of the most stable coins out there in regards to price.

Bittrex has already responded that it is not convenient for them the litecoin mkt he would quote moon when it reaches the btc mkt. Poloniex requires innovation. But what has more Doge or litecoin? Our next goal is the btc mkt obviously.  The bad situation of Cryptsy can be now a help to reach BTC mks in short order. You have to consider that about 100blns are locked in Cryptsy of which 30blns in the hands of the speculators. On bleutrade in the LTC visible book there are now about 2.7 BLNS +  1bln monthly inflation  separating us from btc mkt . In theory if we find long-term investors who buy 2.7 we just manage sell orders of miners. How should we be worried about finding investors to 30blns when cryptsy unlocked our wallets

The question is: would people/speculators really want to sell their Mooncoins after Cryptsy opens their wallets, even if MOON is in BTC-market again then? Or would it be a "better bet" for them to keep their MOON?

Hi, the Mooncoin community.

We do have a completed technology.
The problem is that we have to decide now
would it be better first to discuss all details internally (via PMs with members of Mooncoin Foundation, that is trying to unite large investors who have more than 1 Billion Mooncoins and to protect rights of ALL investors) or to announce a technology in a TEST MODE so that all members of community have the same level of information and then decide whether to accept a new technology or not.
With a new technology we can try to get Poloniex listing, as they require an innovation to list a coin. The technology is based on a Mooncoin blockchain, but doesn't affect it and doesn't require any fork.

P.S. Have you seen what happened to Fedoracoin (TIPS)? https://bter.com/trade/TIPS_LTC
It has a market cap >$10 million now and 2,000 LTC in bids.

There is one question.

If we have a new technology (which can be really useful for common people and can be mindblowing like ETH or even more)
would it be better to patent it first (in Italy for example), or not?

How should we announce it to avoid any speculation? What is the best way?

Please share your thoughts, everyone who is interested.
The future of Mooncoin depends on you all.
Thank you.

Sounds interesting. I would definitely like to know (and test it) about this new technology based on Moonchain. If you'd like you can contact me via PM (as I already sent you one) Looking forward to investing more into MOON.  Smiley

After receiving PMs from the members of community and from Mooncoin Foundation members we have come to a decision that it will be better to announce a new technology in a test mode here, to provide the same level of information to all members of our community.
We will always be able to patent it later, or not to patent, as with announcing a technology at Bitcointalk.org we are automatically getting a proof of our priority regarding this invention.

********
Disclosure: this post describes a new technology and let you test it in a safe mode. To test it you have to get free Moonlighting bonuses with your Mooncoin address.
********

MOONLIGHTING
(test mode!)

Moonlighting is a decentralized platform (an unchangeable set of rules + an operating system) that is based on Mooncoin blockchain and also on Internet and runs "smart likes". Moonlighting has "bonuses" ("Moonlighting bonuses", "likes", or briefly just "moonlighting") as a necessary element for operating the Moonlighting platform.
Every moonlighting bonus is an intangible thing. It is a "like", an approval, a favor, a good wish, which you can send to almost anything you like.

Technically an operating system is an Internet bot (a web crawler) which is systematically searching for commands at any specified forum or on websites.
Thus you are able to input commands on your website or at forum without installing any additional soft.
A forum address is specified in a code and it is the forum which the community is using mostly (currently Bitcointalk.org). Web addresses of websites can be specified in commands, which users input in their messages at forum. A simple analogy is MSDOS or Linux command line.

Moonlighting command line begins with "moonlightingcommandline:" and ends with "!tothemoon" text.
An operating system reads everything between these tags, recognizes commands and runs them. An Unix timestamp is being used to avoid double executing.

A script (an Internet bot) can be run by anyone who has a website and web hosting with a cron support.
Even one script running is sufficient to make a system function.
An user of Moonlighting doesn't need to run a script or install any additional soft, an user only inputs commands at forum (and also on user's website in case of sending moonlighting bonuses between websites or from a website to the Mooncoin wallet).

You can keep moonlighting bonuses
1) at your Mooncoin address
2) on your website
3) in "smart likes".

Currently, with the first edition of Moonlighting OS, you can:
1) link your Mooncoin address with your nickname at forum
2) send moonlighting to any Mooncoin address
3) send moonlighting to any website
4) send moonlighting from your website
5) check moonlighting balance of any Mooncoin address
6) check moonlighting balance of any website
7) use some functions of the "smart likes" technology.

SMART LIKES

Facebook like system is a simple analogy in order to better understand how it works. If you like a project/website/idea, you can "like" it with your moonlighting (based on Mooncoins) and if other users "like" it too, your "investments" will grow over time. More "likes" = more profits for investors and more financing for the projects.

Investing in a start-up is another analogy in order to better understand how Moonlighting works. Early investors, who have recognized any promising project, are able to get in at the very beginning of an exciting new startup. Investing in startup companies is a very risky business, but the returns can be in the thousands of percent, making early investors very wealthy indeed.
That's why investors are interested in looking for promising projects/websites/ideas, in investing and disclosuring them. Investors and the projects, both, to say nothing of common people (who get new amazing disclosured services/opportunities/ideas) will gain from it.
Moonlighting targets to solve fundamental issues of investments/start-ups/financial markets:

1) legal issues
Moonlighting is not a virtual/digital currency and not a commodity either. Moonlighting is an intangible thing, at the same time moonlighting is a well-defined set of rules. In brief, moonlighting is a "like", an approval, a favor, a good wish.

2) early adopters
When investing in Startups unless you happen to be a founder, family member, or close friend of a founder, chances are you will NOT be able to get in at the very beginning of an exciting new startup.
Moonlighting provides equal chances to all. You are welcome to be the very first person/"investor" in any project you can find anywhere. The only requirement is that there must be a weblink where the project/website/idea can be found.

3) centralization/monopolies
It's not a secret: currently centralised monopolies are everywhere, even in crypto. They already have big money and absorb more and more money, they beat their small competitors, they impose their own rules and are not interested in any progress if they don't gain from this progress. For example, fuel companies want to sell their fuel, thus they are not interested to let alternative energy revolution happen.
Moonlighting is a solution. It's a completely decentralised solution which provides equal chances to any project/website/idea. If people like it, if they believe it's good, smart, useful, promising, great, then no one can take the wind out of one's sails.

4) only large companies can be listed at exchanges
That's definitely unfair. What about small projects with great innovations? What about their founders that have not enough money to pay for entering exchanges? We have the rise of innovations which will change the world, and why not to let people choose which projects they want to invest in, and not big (and sometimes overhyped) businesses only. Moonlighting allows "investing" in any project, even the smallest one.

5) noncommercial projects and ideas cannot be listed at exchanges
Moonlighting allows "investing" (and attracting "investments") in any project/idea, even if it has no profits. It's not all about money and greed. What about a talented painter(musician, writer, coder, film-maker, any creator and/or inventor)? What about great but unknown, or forgotten ideas?

...and many other solutions.
Moonlighting can change the way we think about financing, investing, economy at all.
The point is a "like", an approval, a favor, a good wish.
It's not about a company only. You can "invest" in anything you can imagine and get "investments" for anything other people like, approve and believe in. Just send some moonlighting to anything you like, or ask for moonlighting if you need financing.
That's a simple solution for common people who are not familiar a lot with finance and investments and don't want to be involved in any contracts or legal issues.

MOONLIGHTING OPERATING SYSTEM

The Moonlighting interpreter only executes Moonlighting code within its delimiters.
Anything outside its delimiters is not processed by Moonlighting OS.
The delimiters are moonlightingcommandline: to open and !tothemoon to close a section.

If you input commands in a message at Bitcointalk.org, your commands have to match these rules:

1. Your post must not begin with the quote.
2. One post should contain only one command (if it contains 2 or more commands, only the first one will be executed).
If you'd like to run several commands, you may want to make several posts.
3. Every command must contain unix timestamp to avoid double executing.
Unix time is defined as the number of seconds that have elapsed since Jan 01 1970 (UTC).
The current Unix Timestamp can be found at http://www.unixtimestamp.com.
4. Unix Timestamp must be typed at the very end of command, with the closing !tothemoon tag after, for example: unixime1457774321 !tothemoon
There should not be any space between "unixtime" and timestamp itself (seconds) and there must be a space between Unix Timestamp and !tothemoon delimiter, and there must not be any text between Unix Timestamp and the closing !tothemoon tag, just like in an example above. In other words, you must close your command with the current Unix Timestamp if you want to run a command and to avoid double executing.
5. You must not delete your posts that contain commands, it doesn't affect the work of Moonlighting OS generally (if your post with a command has been processed already, deleting will not change anything), but while we are testing the system, deleting of posts can affect the transparency of transactions.
6. To prevent deleting of posts, any Mooncoin user who reads a forum and sees an unconfirmed post with Moonlighting command, may quote it with the tag "confirmed" above. There can be several confirmations, but please don't make too many confirmations to avoid flooding.
7. If you have an account at Bitcointalk, to start sending moonlighting, you must link your account with your Mooncoin address.
There is a command setaddress. To prove that you really own this address, you must send EXACTLY 12345.54321 Mooncoins to 2Z25JRcYYnvN52wJQy4FxZZPhnesBwiiqP (that's an address of one of the oldest Mooncoin supporters, who had lost his Mooncoins in 2014). You must send Mooncoins from an address which you want to link with your account!
And as soon as you have sent Mooncoins, copy-paste an id of this transaction (tx id) from your wallet and insert it in your command. You must do it IMMEDIATELY after you have sent 12345.54321 Mooncoins, and don't forget to end your command with Unix Timestamp and the closing tag !tothemoon. Please see below how a command must look like exactly.
8. If you'd like to check moonlighting balance of any Mooncoin address, or of any website, you may use a command mlbalance. Don't forget to add Unix Timestamp.
After your command is processed, you can see the result in a Moonlighting block explorer which is currently at mooncoin.com.
Just visit http://mooncoin.com/<UnixTimestamp of your command>.txt to see a result. This commands also indicates "likes" made from this address, and to which account the address is linked.
9. If you'd like to send moonlighting from your website, you may use a command sendmlfromweb from:
Before inputting this command, you must prove that you are really an admin of the website by creating a mlsend.txt in a root directory of your website with a command which must be a simple text in a mlsend.txt file:
toaddress:<Mooncoin address or a website>;quantity:<quantity of moonlighting you want to send>;unixtime<UnixTimeStamp>.
You must first create a mlsend.txt on your website and only after that - to input a command at forum.
10. In the first edition of Moonlighting OS you may work only with a simplified form of Smart likes. With commands like: or unlike: you can "like" or "unlike" the most famous cryptocurrencies, stock market indices and traditional currencies (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY etc.) If you have liked something and its real price has risen, you may unlike it and to get your moonlighting profit. So you may gain or lose moonlighting with your predictions. You specify the quantity of moonlighting when you like something, and the quantity of something, when you unlike it. Remember that to use these commands by inputting them in your messages at Bitcointalk, first you must link your Mooncoin address with your account.

Moonlighing may define a large array of commands in the core language.
Currently, in a test mode, only some basic functions are available.
In future more functionality may be added.
Moonlighting is a free OS. As for "moonlighting bonuses" or "moonlighting", they are intangible, and you cannot buy or sell them.
You can only "gain" them with your activity and then use them to run commands. Generally moonlighting bonuses are linked with Mooncoins, but you needn't to transfer Mooncoins if you want to send moonlighting. You can keep Moonlighting bonuses on your Mooncoin address or on your website, and to operate with them, you need to link your address with your Bitcointalk account.

Moonlighting command line usage
Examples

Linking your Mooncoin address with your Bitcointalk account

moonlightingcommandline: setaddress <your Mooncoin address> tx <your tx id of 12345.54321 Mooncoins sent from an address, which you want to link with your account> unixtime<UnixTimestamp please visit unixtimestamp.com to get a current timestamp> !tothemoon

Note: to prove that you really own this address, you must send EXACTLY 12345.54321 Mooncoins to 2Z25JRcYYnvN52wJQy4FxZZPhnesBwiiqP. You must send Mooncoins from an address which you want to link with your account! And as soon as you have sent Mooncoins, copy-paste an id of this transaction (tx id) from your wallet and insert it in your command. You must do it IMMEDIATELY after you have sent Mooncoins.

Sending moonlighting to any Mooncoin address or to any website from your Mooncoin address

moonlightingcommandline: sendmltoaddress <Mooncoin address or any website> quantity:<quantity of moonlighting you'd like to send> unixtime<UnixTimestamp> !tothemoon

Sending moonlighting from your website

moonlightingcommandline: sendmfromweb from: <http://yourwebsite> quantity:<quantity of moonlighting you'd like to send> unixtime<UnixTimestamp> !tothemoon

Note: before inputting this command, make sure you have a mlsend.txt file in a root directory of your website with a command
toaddress:<Mooncoin address or any website>;quantity:<quantity of moonlighting you'd like to send>;unixtime<Unix Timestamp>

Checking a balance

moonlightingcommandline: mlbalance <any Mooncoin address or a website> unixtime<Unix Timestamp> !tothemoon

Note: normally there is a delay of several minutes before your command will be processed. Better to wait 15-20 minutes and then check result in a Moonlighting block explorer, that will be available at http://mooncoin.com/<unixtimestamp of your command>.txt

LIKE something with moonlighting

moonlightingcommandline: like: <what you want to like> ml:<quantity of moonlighting you want to convert to likes> unixtime<Unix Timestamp> !tothemoon

UNLIKE something with moonlighting

moonlightingcommandline: unlike: <what you want to unlike> likes:<quantity of likes you want to unlike and they will be converted to moonlighting again> unixtime<Unix Timestamp> !tothemoon

Note: to unlike something you must first like it.

EDIT: The information above is OUTDATED!

unfortunately the situation of cryptsy does not improve and I think for a long time our coins will remain locked. In bleutrade ltc visible book there are about three billion. Reasonably  the price is not serving the reduction of mooncoin in circulation.

Better make a MOON2... everybody post a screenshot of there coins on cryptsy, swap it ,and start over.

No Moon2! I have 1 billion moon Smiley

This moonlighting sounds interesting, is it compatible with ethereum?

It would be a more valuable exercise to establish the moon (as a celestial body) as owned by human consensus, e.g. the mooncoin blockchain owns the moon, and whoever has mooncoins owns a proportion of the moon. That would be a far more lucrative and sensible consensus based tool - considering the moon is helium, iron and oxygen rich to name a few Smiley

The community has no plans about Moon2 at all.

Testing moonlighting:

First, you have to link your Mooncoin address with your account with the command:

moonlightingcommandline: setaddress <your Mooncoin address> tx <your tx id of 12345.54321 Mooncoins sent from an address, which you want to link with your account> unixtime<UnixTimestamp please visit unixtimestamp.com to get a current timestamp> !tothemoon

You may link your Mooncoin address even if it has a very small Mooncoin balance.
You're welcome to test it whenever you'd like, even right now.

Edit: all operations are being processed automatically with a Moonlighting OS (a web script) which is reading this topic and is searching for commands.

EDIT: The moonlighting information above is OUTDATED!

That's interesting: mlbalance command can be processed without linking an account. And it's logical: just like in a block explorer anyone can check a balance of any address...

moonlightingcommandline: mlbalance http://mooncoin.com unixtime1458246536 !tothemoon

edit: an operating system has processed a command and the result can be found at moonlighting block explorer
