moon coin looks great, maybe i will try  buy this coin

Try to buy this coin ? You can 100% buy this coin though I don't know where the Development is heading as it has stagnated for quite a while + it is good to hold a little bit of everything from Legacy Coins Smiley

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

To bad Genesis Mining stopped supporting MOON in early 2014  Cry

I'd almost view this as a positive thing.
Cloud mining is questionable, even just as a concept on paper.
Then take into account running costs and erm.. greed, sorry.. 'business profitability'.

A spare linux box, say 30-45 minutes to install base cli operating system, 15-20 minutes to install a stratum/db backend, few hours to sync mooncoin from scratch (or literally copy the windows blockfiles over, works fine).
Then 0.01btc at nicehash, or substantially less from miningrigrentals, portforward the external stratum traffic on your firewall/modem to your linux box's NIC; scratch your back for a minute, then hash away.

Other than splitting the payments amongst hundreds of customers, there is literally no difference between doing it yourself or cloud mining (obviously the method detailed above means that you retain 100% of each block solved).

Perhaps. You might be surprised shortly. Who knows?

Congratulations on the Mooncoin block #1,000,000!
http://cryptoguru.tk/Blocks/index.php?Currency=MOON

With more than 1.7 million transactions successfully processed since 2013,
Mooncoin remains one of the most reasonable inexpensive solutions amongst time-tested active blockchains.

Wow that's pretty great.. Good job mooncoin you guys been around for so long and still pushing through that's great to see. Always got to keep a stash of the coins that paved the way.. Look forward to hearing future news

Any updates on Moonlite testing so far?

In December there will be the 3rd anniversary of Mooncoin.
It will be a good occasion for our community to start a new MOON ANN thread and to announce the beta Moonlite platform, the lightweight wallet and other good things.
Mobile wallets could be built on the Electrum wallet, probably this work will begin in the first months of 2017.

December, 30.

Here's a list of current Mooncoin pools:

P2Pool
Multipool.us
AikaPool
SecurePayment
H2C

Check the profitability here: whattomine.com

If someone knows another pool, just post it here.

Has this ever been listed on poloniex? It could have been there after mintpal breakout and scam by fat guy who during migration stole 1000 BTC equivalent of assets listed on mintpal 1.0, but either something went wrong and moon stumbled on bad mintpal repo or it was too boring to get listed on polo.

This coin trades on the Litecoin Market, it started off originally on a Bitcoin Market on CoinedUp & Cryptsy but quickly faded to MOON/LTC due to the supply of MoonCoin, it is a bit like TIPS as they are very similar and both live on alternative markets to Bitcoin.

The movements won't be in Bitcoin Wink

Has this ever been listed on poloniex?
No, Mooncoin was great before Poloniex became a leading exchange, even before the poloniex.com was launched.
#17 on CMC https://web.archive.org/web/20140125114041/http://coinmarketcap.com/  - $167,000 volume.
It was on coinex exchange (now closed), people remember even $1 million+ volume in early 2014 and 30 Satoshi for 1 MOON,
MOON was listed at Cryptsy, Mintpal, and maybe for some time at Bittrex,
then after an original dev disappeared in 2014, the stagnation started.

Reminder:
the most active MOON market currently is the Bleutrade MOON/DOGE market: https://www.bleutrade.com/exchange/MOON/DOGE
again and again: please don't buy MOON for BTC until you have 100+ BTC to invest, you are able to buy small amounts on -DOGE and -LTC based markets, prices there are very low indeed.

It's a crying shame that polo doesn't want to list it. Ur last sentence is confusing. I'd paraphrase it though: don't invest anything in an asset that's not traded in busoni's pumping garage. The spur for making any kind of investment in a given trading instrument is that the market u play with should stay liquid longer than is necessary for u to close any of ur long-term positions on ur own volition, with minimum damage in case odds turn not in ur favor. Its hardly possible with assets whose liquidity is not enough for them to remain tradable for a long time period so u will be unable to close ur position if something goes wrong. 100 BTC is the amount for a long-term entrance. Don't tell people to plug this money into a junk shitcoin unless u're deadly sure more liquidity's to come. U got the idea.

bittrex or livecoin will add moon, only when the price consolidating in btc market, probably when it will be at least 4 to 6 satoshi and with acceptable volume ...

You contradict yourself.

Edit: your idea is generally clear, MOON needs more liquidity and listing at big exchanges,
but a junk or not - that doesn't depend on exchanges, Poloniex sometimes lists a coin, then delists it, and all investors are burnt with that.

If a coin is not ICO nor any token, created with pump-and-dump purpose, it's not an exchange what makes a coin great.
The real userbase and real use creates value.
If people need a coin for real use, they obviously will see no problem to buy it on Bleutrade.

Reminder:

don't buy MOON for BTC, the BTC market is for big investors only (if any) and only if they are not able to buy the amount they need on not btc markets,
if you are buying small amounts, you may want to consider -DOGE and -LTC based markets, where prices are very low indeed.
