Hi, I have few concerns.
1. Why on main page mining pools not listed? how new user should find where to mine TIPS?
2. Please - no scrypt-jane. It will disconnect multipools (with proper difficulty algo they don't make anything bad) - so it will lower Net hash rate, insted of changing pool in cgminer - miners should run another file - it will decrease network rate also. Lower Net Hashrate - lower price.

We have to promote it, first step - add mining pool list on man page - more people will know where to mine, second - lets add it to coinwarz, more people will know about this coin.

yeah agreed -  the OP needs updating to show more info like the old thread.
Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I don't think so. But my pool found only one block the last 21 hours. It's a waste of time to mine right now. I'm mining another coin and planning to buy tips. It's more effective but it's sad for TIPS to be disconnected from its dedicated miners.

Just looking through the rounds last night as the new algo kicked in and difficulty was around 0.004 ish.

WOW !!!  Basically pot luck who submitted the correct share within a fraction of the time.

I came out on top about 12 times, giving me about 26m TIPS in about 30 or so minutes Smiley

Yup, glad left my miner running last night, was going to switch it off.

Nice to see the pools working better now with good blocks being found within reasonable times. Taken a while for the new algo to kick in properly, but seems to be stabalizing enough to make up for the last weeks worth on grinding on the GPU's Smiley

Nice to hear, so the tips network will stabilize then in the next weeks and TIPS will be able to grow again.

Nice to hear that.

Sorry I made you guys go through that Tongue I should have made it kick in sooner, but I thought we'd get to 51000 by the 6th :/

By the way I wrote a small guide on how to setup your own mixing nodes, you'll need some coins to start the mixer with, two geographically separate servers (as in, located in separate areas) and plenty of time to spend on setting it up Tongue

Guide is at http://pastebin.com/GkJeFjwW it's a draft but it should give you an idea of what you'll need.

Edit: Also I should probably mention that during this avalanche of altcoins the mixing node scripts used by TIPS will be staying closed source, and will only be shared with people after they've signed an NDA with us. In the future this might change but for the time being it won't be released publicly.

It's no problem to me Smiley I actually enjoy supporting it, just wish that we had more graphics designers to help out with things (eg. an infograph showing how normal transactions aren't anonymous and how mixing works would be nice, bonus points if it talked about the "anyone can start a secure web-wallet" feature too Tongue)
